Yeah good player, not easy to keep two receivers together, doesn’t usually last long, can only allocate so much to any given position or area. It’s not the 90’s anymore, you can’t a build a 90’s Viking super team anymore. Even they didn’t win a Super Bowl. San Fran gets away with it for now, because the QB doesn’t make anything, both WR are on Rookie deals, all three need to get paid and San Fran is over the cap. They can’t keep both receivers, Bangles have that problem right now. Most of the time if you got a stud receiver, a number 1 pick in the draft means you are replacing your current receiver by the time the rookie gets paid. Moss and Carter, Wayne and Harrison, Holt and Bruce. The days of the 90’s super teams are gone. Players are to expensive now. 98 Vikings, Cunningham, Moss, Carter, Smith, had a good TE too, Reed, 4 pro bowlers on the Oline, Randle, and Ball on the Dline, had a couple of good LB’s, a Good Safety. Fields and Moore are do contracts at the same time Jenkins is do, Johnson is do. That will be 90-100 million a year for 3 players. That’s what happens when you spend a lot of money on trades and FA’s. Edwards, Sweat, Moore, Davis, not cheap. Super teams are built in the draft, then you got a 3-5 year window before players stat falling off. Tee Higgins on the Bangles, Ravens are trying to figure out how to Keep their 2 best defensive players and they can’t afford both. 49ers are gonna lose a WR and Williams. And when Purdy gets paid, a lot more. Because Poles wasn’t given much time to build a proper team, he went out and spent a lot of money already. Can’t keep Johnson Moore and Fields for more than 2 years. You have a Super team, QB needs to be cheap, you have a great QB, not gonna be able to hold onto your good drafted players for very long, and expensive free agents are a no no. Pick your poison.
