Why aren’t POTUS and his cabinet out there every damn day doing interviews with local, national, cable, and independent news telling Americans what this means to the U.S. and world economy?! Specifically members of cabinet should be out with local news telling them that the republicans cuts would mean a cut of X in programs that people use in their area!

I feel like this perfectly represents Pudding Fingers. He has the arrogance to think that no matter what he does, it's the best because he did it. Anyone with any sense at all would have told him "Don't mess with Disney! Ignore their Don't Say Gay statement and they will keep donating to you." I live in the UK but follow US politics more than I do here. From my viewpoint it’s ALWAYS elections in the US. The fallout from 2020 hasn’t gone away yet, 2022 just happened & it’s campaign season again. Here I think about who to vote for like once every 4 or 5 yrs. Maybe the apathy that keeps turnout a problem in the US is because it’s ALWAYS elections. Much like Disney Star Wars it’s overkill. 1 movie every 3 yrs & a trilogy every 10 was great but constantly? Too much. It’s just a revolving door of constant campaigning & requests for money. No party has the time to pursue actual policy when the opposition has only to block action for a few months & then it all switches cos nothing got done. It’s all SO exhausting & futile. Maybe that’s why folks elected an arsonist as President & god forbid might do so again.
As much as I don't like Musk, he actually has talent and has actually earned his wealth and power. He didn't need to declare bankruptcy numerous times to make himself and family rich. He was all to fine sticking it to thousands of workers (painters, construction workers, builders, electricians, plumbers, hotel and resort employees, and so many more), many of him lost their jobs or businesses because Trump didn't want to pay employees who built and maintained his 3 failed hotel casinos in Atlanta City and hit the Southern Jersey economy hard. But, Elon greatly out paces former President and that likely really hurts. Sticking it to all those folks, many of whom, were parents of classmates in school did real damage to their lives. The MAGA fans don't seem to get the dude doesn't care for anyone, but himself. Really don't get why they love him. Not a fan of what Musk is doing and it's only going to grow right-wing propaganda.

I can’t sleep thinking about this stuff. I didn’t pay attention to politics for 40years. Was it always this bad? I mean it was bad in Vietnam war years …… there was Chicago 7. …… these guys make sense and l love the even tone, the irony, the knowledge
Some of this political situation is no worse than it used to be. I used to lose sleep, worry, etc. over Vietnam - a period of slightly over 10 years (for us). And then there are aspects that are the worst I can recall. It’s like our country is hanging on by a thread. Try to do things that are nourishing for you!
