Haha I bought this at a thrift store (brand new still in the original box with all the parts) for ONE EASY PAYMENT of 11.99!! Thought it would be fun to try out, had to look up a video to see how it worked haha, this video has me laughing SO hard
Me, too!! @jendowney 1 easy payment of $14.99!! Ha!! Years later, after NEVER using it when I bought it, I'm looking up infomercials to get instructions. I'm changing to a Mediterranean diet. This pasta maker will NOW come in handy. :)
I just got mine today from Urban Mission for 1 dollar in original box only thing missing recipe book and video. I looked on Google and got the recipes can't wait to try it. For non-believers Urban Mission is moving to a new building and trying to get rid of their merchandise so great prices

Ronco products are great. I love my Showtime rotisserie. I used it just last week to make a fresh rotisserie chicken. I made a roast duck in it too. Now I’m hungry.
I remember watching this on TV and laughing at the voiceover yelling at Ron. I use the reference a lot when people are mistaken - "Now remember, Ron..." Usually I have to explain the context. I'm just impressed that someone a) had a copy of this video, b) took the time to publish it on youtube, and c) 52K people have watched it

Did you try calling that number? If it worked, did you get the price in this real old infomercial (from the 90’s? Ron Popeil is 85 years old now, so this infomercial must be at least 25 years old, don’t you think?)? Looks like a great machine, I can’t wait to get mine, I found a new, but old stock one real cheap. Can’t wait to play! ☺️👏
@@lottatroublemaker6130 lol I would like to see one of the old "Slicomatic" commercials, but there don't seem to be any on RU-vid! They were on TV back in the 70's when I was little, yet I still remember "It slices! It dices! It makes julienne fries!!!"! LOL!
I can imagine the editors pulling their hair out around the 3rd time. Ron: "It's just 4 easy payments of $39.99." Edit: "Go**am**it, Ron! It's now 4 easy payments of only $29.99!!"
I had one of these, they were a nightmare to clean up, I literally had to take it down to the corner car wash and use the high pressure sprayer on it, but it was too much, the clear plastic pasta bin blew apart like a straw house in a hurricane. The thing was unbelievably loud, like a cement truck mixing concrete in your kitchen. It sucked so much power that the lights in the house flickered when it was running, I thought for sure I was gonna blow a fuse and burn the house to the ground.
Wait, when he asked them to raise their hands if they were going to buy one, that was the same hand raise as when he asked if they had vegetable juicers
Ron was doing BNPL payments to sell crap to people that they didn't need / couldn't afford before Klarna and Affirm were twinkles in their daddies' eyes ...

For those of us who're mathematically challenged, I whipped out Microsoft's Calculator and did the arduous task of crunching the numbers myself. ;-) The original price was $159.96 (or $160, let's face it). The lowered price was $119.96 (or $120). So, a whole $40 difference. Which, while a lot for some people, isn't quite the rock-bottom price drop advertised, methinks!
It represents a 25% reduction in the quoted price for the machine. That's a BIG difference in price for the 1990s. Heck, it's still a pretty good discount.
@powerswiss1 I read a comment blog...if your plastic ring has broken, use a threaded PVC part that fits. Get a 2-1/2 inch connector that fits onto the machine, then get a PVC nipple (lol, I know) and thread that into the 2-1/2 inch part only about 3/8 or 1/2 inch to give the die something to rest against...cut the leftover part off. Then, on the opposite end, cut about two inches off until your new part looks like the one that broke. Viola!
The trick is to let it sit overnight, causing the dough remnants to dry out, then you can break out those dough pieces. The string type dies require poking a toothpick thru each hole, unless you have the dies that have the removable centers, those dies are easier to clean. There is a space between the auger and the die that will have a piece of dough about the size of a golf ball. I put this in a zip lock and into the freezer, I put this piece into the hopper the next time I make pasta.
I think that it originally was introduced for the price that Ron states, but probably through bad sales they lowered it and when this infomercial aired after the introduction price they had to somehow fix the new price.
Allot of haters out there. I'm calling the haters out as liars. I have the machine, used it this afternoon, it works just like demonstrated in the infomercial. I highly recommend that home chefs get this machine.
When you seen the 800 number on the screen please call it don't forget it's just 4 easy payments of just $39.99 cents Remember Ron now it's only 4 easy payments of only $29.99.

I just called the number within 30 minutes of watching this so i could get the sausage maker included, but the recording says its the national telemarking company instead... thanks Ron :(
RIP Ron,the greatest salesman ever.I think saint Peter let him in and he didnt have to pay 269 dollars or 169 dollars not even 99 dollars or any easy payments,i think he walked rite in.
The Italian woman for sure was part of the Screen Actors Guild. Another commentor had looked her up and found her there. I’m sure she put this infomercial into her acting demo reel! Lol.
