@@Orholam5 That was the whole point: the "dumb" person acting shocked about all the things that the product claimed to do, then acting even more shocked when they showed it actually making the pasta. Infomercials always had them playing off of eachother--I've watched plenty where the "dumb" person was a man. Stop making it into a sexist thing. You SJWs are exhausting.

Lucky! I haven’t been able to go thrift shop hunting since this whole bullshit fake “pandemic” began, because my local thrift store demands that I wear one of those smothering devices on my face and I refuse to do so.

In the 1990s, Janeane Garofalo listed this as one of her favourite things in RollingStone magazine's annual Hot List edition. She loved the way Ron seemed to get increasingly annoyed with the lady.
i feel bad for the lady. she's the host who tries to squeeze out as much info about the product from the guy but he just keeps repeating same stuff and breeze past all of it. she's trying to sell as much of the features as possible. he doesn't even know there were 12 pasta dies, he kept saying "thousands" and she kept trying to bring it up cause people watching will need to know how many options they get for their money
I love how the pasta maker breaks around the 8:50 mark. It's sitting there making a sick sound and you can see the blades have stopped spinning. Ron handles it pretty coolly but still stumbles a bit talking about the price and availability until they cut away and back and it has magically been fixed. Thanks for posting!!
Because of Ron Popiel, I love infomercials. This one in particular is one of my all-time favorites. Love the campiness, love the cheesy audience, love how loud it is and they try to talk over it like it's normal (just like the Simpson's parody, "IT'S WHISPER QUIET"), just love it all.

I remember being a teen, unable to sleep, sometimes stoned, watching Ron Popiel infomercials. God DAMN they were exquisitely hilarious. This brings back memories.
Someone asked who the lady is. It's Nancy Nelson. It's pretty sad that I knew that off the top of my head. I used to be an infomercial junkie. These days I very rarely watch any TV.

I totally forgot how loud this infomercial was. I thought for a moment my hearing was actually going bad because I could not hear them over the machines.
This was one of those ads that drew me in in the middle of the night. I would stay just to watch them make the pasta (lol). Ron really knew how to sell products...not to me because I never bought one personally but that doesn't mean he wasn't good at what he did, because he's one of the best. A true innovator! This, the food dehydrator, the knives, the rotisserie and many more infomercials I'll never forget. Rest in Peace Ron
In my opinion, the early 90's was the golden age of 30-minute infomercials. This one was from 1993. I'm still waiting for someone to post the "Super Slicer" infomercial with Mike Levy.
Ohhh I remember this infomercial...the good ol' Ron Popeli and his interesting inventions. This infomercial in particular is the most interesting I remember. I actually never believed his pasta maker product could really be as easy as it made it seem here, but it was still very entertaining to watch. Thanks for uploading.
I can’t believe that anyone would think fresh pasta would take longer than a couple of minutes. It’s egg, flour, oil, salt, and water mixed together. That’s all.
That thing makes a racket like a Jack hammer. . This infomercial should run in conjunction with the Miracle Ear hearing aid commercial. . The Popeil Pasta maker, it's like having a road crew breaking concrete right in your own kitchen!
When "Nancy" asks Ron why he's using spinach juice, you can just see the hatred on his face as he clamors for an answer..."ahh! color..nutrients...". In reality, he's thinking "just fucking stand there, Nancy! It's my infomercial! MINE! If I wanna use spinach, I will! And I don't have to have a reason!"
I bought one of these recently (a vintage model off CL), and LOVE the thing. It really is that easy, and while I'm sure it will indeed break someday, OMG - cheap, healthy, awesome-tasting pasta in minutes. Seriously worth it. And the kids think it's a blast, too. ;)
Ron: "DUMP IT IN! DUMP IT IN!" Nancy: "DON'T TALK TO ME! DUMP IT IN!" Audience laughs. God, how I miss watching these informercials as entertainment back in the 1990's!
Found one of these at a thrift store for $15 - Thank you so much for uploading this video. The instruction manual wasn't in very good condition, and this explains it better, actually.
Ok. Now make some iPhone pasta, bus driver pasta, frog pasta, newspaper pasta, underwear pasta, Lego pasta, garden shed pasta, skyscraper pasta...... need I go on?!
I actually owned this product! I used it for eight years until it refused to turn on anymore. I liked it. :) Oh, pasta with minced onion will not go through the angel hair pasta thingie. And the chocolate pasta was just gross.
This was always my favorite infomercial when I was a kid. We did not have cable or satelite so when this one came on I always watched it, and always wanted this maker. Memories.
holy crap, I loved this infomercial. I never missed it when it was on and what, nearly 12 years later, I saw it was on tv about a month ago. I was shocked
