I know he's supposed to be a parody, but seriously, 90% of the stuff he says makes sense.

So, the hierarchy of vegetables goes like this: (from bottom-level sewer varmint food - actually edible, post-ape mammalian nutrition): 6) Potatoes/ tubers (Dense carbohydrate, cultivated root nutrition) 5) Fish meat (Mr. Swanson covers this fairly well with his pyramid) 4) Corn (and other cultivated crops. Wheat and Barley in some form of baked good will suffice). 3) Vegetables (Broccoli, cauliflower, sweet-and-sour . . and I guess tomatoes (that are cooked and consumed in half an hour) . . . 2) Leafy greens (that cartoon sailor was a fan of these. No one grows muscles and strength like that without REAL protein.) 1) Watered-down, shit-produce (lettuce, celery, tofu). Don't even feed this to your lesser evolved pets. There is honestly no effective use for it. It doesn't burn or create productive tools; it doesn't even provide sustenance for any kind multi-cellular organism . . . seriously, every ecological food-web has no use for this water-retardant cellulose. Except for urban shit-rats (vegans).

Ron hadn't fully solidified his character yet. He still wears a suit at work and is an activist libertarian. The later Ron wears sweaters and is a far more private man who doesn't really care about the outside world as long as it leaves him alone with his carpentry, his smokehouse and his buried gold.

Ron wearing suits in season 1 encompasses just how much of a half-measure that season was. So glad they got their shit together.

I like Ron and his ideology but I'll be damned if I don't love a good library. Always have.

I found out I have to watch a show called Parks and Rec so I watch it.... about two years later on Netflix and I don't see it but I guess we have the same eyes.
