Tammy 2 is the representation of pharamones overriding our sense of judgement. being unable to resist what we know is bad for us, and just giving up and going for the ride. Diane is the representation of mutual respect that brings balance.

I know this is a off passing joke but I'd like to think his 2nd relationship as being manipulated by someone just because of one show of affection, that they use to string you closer and closer.. It's essentially is a form of lovebombing, to make you think there's something to be salvaged, some true love, true connection, when in reality it's just someone who finds joy in the control they have over you and the high it gives to be in power. I love how (the corrupting witchcraft of the Tammies aside) Ron very clearly has his preferences, opinions, and positions, and can’t be swayed from them. He’s just very matter of fact, and will burn an incompatible relationship without regret. Also, “I’m tried of not being married to this woman” has to be up there with smooth lines.

Ron Swanson would NEVER use cold patch asphalt. He'd grind up the whole section of road, lay 8 inches of high strength concrete double-reinforced with a woven rebar lattice, and put down at least three two inch+ thick layers of hotmix on top of that. If he's going to fix the road, he'll fix it so good it won't need attention until he's dead and buried.
