my toddler is sick and i asked if he wanted to sit with me on the couch and watch a video on my laptop. we dont have TV but we do watch farm videos together sometimes. inbetween whines he goes "i want to watch duck video" and when i put this one on he goes "i like that" haha. we love Gold Shaw Farm!

Puddles story would be a good children's book. Loss of friends, moving to a new place to live. Making new friends, some interactions good some bad. But in the end, be brave and life goes on.

I prefer Puddles, especially since she came from a small flock, she might actually know her name, but if you must change her name, Ron Swanson has brothers Don, Lon and Vaughn (according to wikipedia, I have no clue I dont watch the show). Also, Ron's middle name is Ulysses.

I love how when he says hi to shakira it’s always as if they are co workers seeing each other in the morning.

I'd stick with "Puddles" - leave her something from her previous life to hang onto for familiarity and comfort!

I like both Puddle and Swan Ronson for the duck’s name. I lean more towards Puddle Duck but I think that you should call her whatever rolls off your tongue more naturally. Also, it’s really helpful to get these booster lessons on how to introduce a new bird to the flock. Thanks for giving her a new family.

Not sure how but I stumbled upon your channel when a video showed up in my feed. Working from home during Covid and I have a TV next to my computer screens playing RU-vid videos mostly about travel, history and cars. I know nothing about farming and live in a suburban area. I find though that I’ve become very interested in your story. I cried like a baby when your barn cat was hit by a car and was so relieved when things turned out well for her. I found myself looking for the next video on her progress. Kudos to you for not being a slave to corporate America and finding happiness in a new life.

So for a few days he is separated.... until things settle down... they are communicating through the fence so things are looking promising!

As of last night, I now have 2 groups of broody geese on nests.

Morgan, a similar thing happened with my ducks. I had 3 pet domestic ducks that my family had rescued. Then disaster happened. Broke our hearts one survived found him a new home. Now i have wild mallards in my yard and pond.
