Messi has Iniesta and Xavi around him. Imagine the kind of highlights we would have seen of Ronaldhino if he had players like Iniesta and Xavi to feed off of. Unlike Messi, he was the heart and soul of the team! Messi is great, dont get me wrong, but he is surrounded by great players, unlike Ronaldhino.
It wasn't a great game from him but a good enough. Those two great passes that his teammates wasted, so sad they didn't make it. This Barcelona wasn't as good at all as the Barcelona 2008-2016. And to think Ronaldinho had even worse teammates the previous years! Some of them were good players but the Tiki-taka era had the best.
Don't forget this squad managed to win the 2006UCL . Barca had gone for 20years without winning the UCL and it was out of the top four in laliga. Barca fans had lost faith in the team, they went into every big match expecting defeat. This Barca team paved the way for the tikitaka era. Do you see those passes that Ronaldinho is making, that is where Messi, xavi and iniesta learnt it from. Guardiola said it himself 👉 The passing game that Ronaldinho had was outrageous. I think the difference between ronaldinho and messi is messi's maturity. Ronaldinho IMO was more spectacular and had better control of the ball but messi is more tactical/patient/and aware. Just sucks when you think of what ronaldinho could've been; the undisputed greatest.

I've watched Ronaldinho, Zidane, Figo, Ronaldo (El Phenomenon not Gaynaldo), Nedved, and countless others. Ronaldinho had magic, Zidane class, Ronaldo instinct, but none of them can match what Messi is doing right now. This is a man who has scored 73 goals in 60 games this season, an unbelievable feat. Ronnie may have been more exciting to watch, with his unparalleled array of flicks and tricks, but he doesn't provide the efficacy Messi does. And Messi still has time to improve.
the "midget" was 17 when he was a substitute, ronaldinho had 2 fantastic years, thats not enough to be the best ever, messi is better and scored more goal in one season than ronaldinho in 5, but ronaldinho played more beatiful, but NOWAY he was better

I think IMO the difference between Ronaldinho and Messi is the fact that Ronaldinho is the more skillful of the two. Nevertheless they are equally great in their very own ways! The truth is Messi is the better player! As for maradona he is the marriage of both messi and ronaldinho! :)

@watdafreak4 wtf is all with you guys I watch soccer since I was 6 years old I play soccer since I was 6 I even started to coach soccer for years I do all that stuff everyday and I know the quality of a player like Ronaldinho or Messi pbbly more than all of you so don't tell me whos better OK. We all know how good Ronaldinho was but Messi is just uncomperable and hes only 23 he has 7-8 more years of full soccer to play and then we will talk again and You will be telling me whos better then .

Maradona Pele Ronaldo Ronaldinho they were all good soccer players but Messi he's the highest level a soccer player has reached so far.
