Ronnie O'Sullivan is facing Fabian Haken, 13 years, Bavarian U17 Snooker Champion, for one frame of snooker during a show event at Zirkus Krone, Munich, Germany. 2:22 match start
Fabian showed a lot of class and had a lot of fun at the table. You could see Ronnie O was enjoying himself watching him. The snooker table is too big for some grown men let alone for a boy that size. He will grow into the game because he has a great attitude. Cheers, young man !
The young lad is in front of a big home audience. Obviously Ronnie was giving him opportunities and then probably a little lesson :) The young lad done great under pressure and in fairness split the pack open early himself.Ronnie was making centuries at 10 so let's not compare and let the kid have his moment. I'm sure he could be reading these comments and deserves positive feedback.
Under no circumstances you are allowed to say ronnie played seriously after he missed (on purpose) some very easy shots ( like the black from the spot)
it's great to see that ronnie is giving this young man a chance to play with the pro's, lettinh him play against the genius himself. I think ronnie had fun playing against him. Everytime Fabian had build a great break he saluted to Fabian. Ronnie is such the biggest snooker player ever, on and off the table. Fabian, the german hope of getting a WSC title xD greetings from germany!
Sure Ronnie took it easy on the kid, but you can see where he has some talent. Look at how he broke open the pack off the blue and had a couple of nice long pots. And from the kids’ perspective he got to play the greatest player of all time. That’s a memory that will be with him for the rest of his life and hopefully encourage him to keep playing.
Perfect demonstration by the kid at that young age. Playing in front of so many people and playing against the best player in the world. The KID got some serious talent. Some of his potts were amazing especially that red in the center from baulk cushion.
give the boy a break.. no pun intended. obv very good and a funny wee dude. hope to see him in the professional circuit soon playing in the big league. well done.
Ronnie is such a good man! He is giving this young fella a chance and building his confidence. Of all the videos I have watched of Ronnie this clearly the best. What graciousness and wisdom. And the boy deserves all the clapping. Those who say different are not worth piss in a bowl. Sorry just my NEVER EVER PLAYED SNOOKER thoughts.
its great having to see such a young talented boy play... for those who hate him, give it a break... He is only 13... you guys should be encouraging him to play instead of criticizing a young boy so that one day he will be a world class snooker player
Wunderbar. Must be crazy cool when Ronnie O'Sullivan is clapping when you're coming to the table... And playing Ronnie? WOW! The kid has something to remember for his entire life.
Admittedly ronnie was deliberately leaving some chances there to make a game of it but the lad played really well he was nervous which made him rush a bit and caused him to over extend the cue arm on the yellow but good potter and gave ronnie a run for his money. What a difference it makes when you enjoy yourself
This had to be a real honor for this young man. I couldn't imagine myself having such an opportunity at his age. A comparable fantasy for me would have been to bat against Nolan Ryan, or to pitch against Hank Aaron.
The kid was so jazzed to be playing a frame with his hero he was vibrating, I could hear Ronnie's back creek when addressing the cue ball on that tiny table lol
Guys remember it's a 13 year old kid playing against the legend. And think he has pretty good game for his age. The shot at 4:46 potting the blue and freeing the red pieces was amazing. Well played kid u played great. And thanks Ronnie for being the amazing human u are!
Very very good stuff from Ronnie. Must if made this kids year. He’s a good player that one...Ronnie has helped him far more than any Barry Hearn outfit could in his lifetime. What a good sport Ronnie is
Good to see sportsmanship from the world's No 1. The kid will go on to be a great snooker player because of encouragement by his idol from such a young age. Too many bully fathers berate their children whilst growing up instead of giving support whilst they are learning leading to life long insecurity thinking they are no good. Shame on any of you who have done that to your offspring. Remember, you once had to learn and come through the ranks and it is your duty to applaud and encourage new members into whatever sport they enjoy so they get lifelong pleasure, then pass that enjoyment onto others...
It was a very nice attitude for Ronnie to miss some shots for pleasure so that the boy throws some balls and has fun. Excellent player and person Ronnie. And the boy plays very well, hopefully he will compete in a world championship in the future.
I like how Ronnie did not lose on purpose. But Ronnie did give the kid some chances by purposely missing and shooting a terrible snooker so that the reds were open. The kid surprised me with some pots. He is going to be great. Good match.
For a 13 years old kid he is not bad. He still has time of his entire life to get better. Its not like in physical sports that you career ends at an age of 35.
The kid's got a long way to go if he wants to turn pro before he's 21 but this performance was quite good and I'd say he's about 50/50 with the right guidance.
GREAT JOB BY RONNIE Played in a way that the kid would have some hope! awesome video, really loved it! And for you saying he is as good as Ronnie when he was young! even Stephen Hendry wasn't as good as RonnieSo stop making sh** up and just enjoy the video!
This boy has some talent. I could see him in the big league's when he's older. Fantastic professionalism and composure. The only thing annoying is the crowd clappin at every fuckin shot he makes. But the player is fantastic and gives Ronnie a run for his money. The sportsmanship they show is again so professional. I hope to see him in the masters or the UK championships in the future
To anyone saying ronnie was bad at acting about missing shots: He was simply giving the kid a chance to show what he has, why would he century clear a kid on what would be a very important and memorable day for him
