@ShawnDon 97 Agreed. Given what he's been through, his composure, and bravery to take the stand, he's earned the title. Regardless of age. This young man is doing his part to make sure justice is served for his mother and sister. There are plenty of grown men that don't even have that kind of grit.
I know but it is the law and it needs changed. This is not the first case where someone represented themselves and got to question the victims. The Judge was great on making sure he did not cross the line and looking out for the young man. At least they did it at a remote sight so he would feel safe. I prayed like crazy for the young man. No victim should have to be crossed examined by the abuser rapist, murderer. Should have a court appointed attorney to ask the questions the Murderer in this case and abuser needs asked. In all cases!
Lots of reason sometimes why family can not adopt. It could be for health reasons, lack of income, prison records, so I try not to judge. Sometimes its age too. If they have recent drug problems.

No amount of money, financial stability, or even a happy home can suppress trauma. There's no such thing as a happy life for that kid after that happened, he's just been taken away from an accused monster, that's it.

Tampa is one of the very few places in Florida that Trump lost, and I would not be surprised in the least if this guy gets acquitted. I have seen liberal juries acquit murderers with even more evidence. Tevin Biles was just acquitted by a liberal judge this week, and there was several witnesses that seen him kill 3 people. So do not be shocked if this guy gets acquitted as well. One of the more famous times was when a liberal jury acquitted a man that was caught on video selling weed, and they literally ignored the video and found him not guilty. Then after the trial the entire jury went out and partied with him, and basically said it was payback to the government that they hated.
Exactly! You don’t stab your son and then truly think people will think that you are sincere when you thank the detective from the bottom of your heart for adopting your son. He is definitely very manipulative. Thank God for the Detective and his family who took the boy in, and I hope and pray that the boy has a shot in life. I hope that his PTSD can be controlled enough to where he can still be a productive member of society. I’m sure that’s all he wants for himself as well, just a normal life, as normal as it can be anyway.

This story is even more tragic than I thought! That crazy guy murdered his GF and his DISABLED daughter, then tried to kill his son by stabbing and burning him. And there were no relatives or grandparents that the child could stay with? That detective who adopted the child deserves a big metal of honor and citizenship!
Does it really matter where the grandparents are? There could be a number of reasons why the gparents and other family members aren't involved. Just thank God he's in a good situation.
Maybe they're dead, maybe they're not capable of taking care of a child, maybe they didnt have a big extended family. None of that matters, he was taken in by someone who cares.

That is how it works you can represent yourself. The boy did not have to testify in court he choose to. I'm sure he already testified before court but he choose to testify in court too. No one can make you though it's actually a choice
I was not expecting a thank you. On one hand it’s a shame his own family couldn’t take him in but on the other hand he is with family that really loves him and want the best for him after that horrific night.

His family wasn't equipped to deal with him and the trauma they were already suffering plus the fathers side was dysfunctional and abuse was going on, this what the adoptive parents said now we see why Ronnie O'Neal Sr turned out this way, so actually it's a blessing in disguise it was simply meant for this family to take him in, I'm sure his mom and sister is happy and wanted him in this beautiful family too. I can tell mom had a guiding hand in this because how everything happened plus the person checking in on him suddenly asked the detective and his wife which was mom spirit doing that because they were at church when it happened. I'm a medium and trust me our loved ones guide and watch over us.

Some of these family members only seem to be there when the cameras are rolling or there is a lawsuit. Imo if he would of came with a lumpsum payment and monthly payments relatives would of been lined up. This lil boy is exactly where he is supposed to be. Not trying to sound harsh.

I believe most folks are doing the best they can with what they have to work with some folks don’t have much to work with so I try to be merciful. The father is going to have a couple few decades behind bars to think about his decisions, in the long run his son may get a better life out of the whole deal

I can barely watch this case with dry eyes. I try to understand these things that happens in this world we live in. And sometimes there is just no answers. But what we all can understand is love! And that's just what that Detective showed was love! May we all reach for love!💕
