What about if someone says “I just had my roof replaced 5 or 6 years ago and we don’t really want to get another roof?” When there was a hail storm 4 months ago and brand new roofs were peppered with hail in the area?

Great question. It does not include contact lists for the insurance carriers as all of those #s are readily accessible through a quick Google Search :)

After you start your objection question and wait for their phone number, how long will you wait before the homeowner says something? It would be awkward changing your body posture, asking that question, and standing their for ten seconds with nobody saying anything, lol.

Great question, Wade. This is sales - "He who speaks first, loses." You gotta settle into the awkward my man. Get comfortable with the silence. Just wait. That means they don't have an answer yet and are thinking. Believe me, this is one of the strongest skillsets you can develop in sales - patience and thick skin to not give into the "awkwardness." Remember, if you give in first, you're literally doing it 100% out of your own comfort - not theirs. I used to practice at the door when I was already given a "no" to see how long I could keep a prospect talking with me. I knew it was a lost sale, so I used it as a training opportunity to embrace the awkward. Give it a try!

Just got into this business its my first year which is rough because of covid and having alot of trouble with state farm and approvals but leads are iffy so im resorting to door knocking any tips of how to get referrals after you sign a client or get a sale for insurance proceeds? trying to build my client and customer basis so i have referrals for the future.
