The room service task is to attend the delivery of food and beverage order to the guestrooms. Room service menus consist A-la-carte menu placed over the side table of the hotel room as a reference for the guest in making orders. Orders are done through the telephone.
Some hotels hang door knob menus for breakfast orders. Some are provided in each room and the guest fill it up, indicating the time of delivery and hang it on the door knob, then the room service waiter pick it up not later than 3:00 o’clock in the dawn. The order is then endorsed to the kitchen and prepare in advance. The order is then delivered on the exact indicated on the order form.
