The tables with the open binders is a great idea. If I had the room, I would definitely do something similar. Turning that room into a personal card/memorabilia show was an awesome idea.
I can’t believe I hadn’t watched this fully until now. I must have got distracted the first time because when I started today I was 45 seconds in. Such an incredible array of displays. I felt like I had seen almost everything but didn’t know how it all flowed together. Don’t know when or if I’ll ever be in Georgia again but it would be amazing to see it in person and talk cards.
I’m glad you did John. I think it must come across as bigger or better on camera or maybe I’m just used to it. I’m really shocked it’s gotten this much attention. You need to do one soon with all your new cases. I’d love to see how you chose to arrange each of them.
Truly amazing collection my friend! The way you have everything displayed makes me feel like I’m being curated through a museum. I especially like the display case with the oddball collectibles👍⚾️
DC Talk was huge!! Crazy you worked for them. I’m not a baseball card collector as I focus on basketball and wrestling but your card room is amazing. Keep up the good work on the channel!
Drew your room is freaking incredible !!! I love everything. I wish i lived close I would love to sit in that pirates chair. Your griffey collection is nuts. So glad you shared your room with us 👊🤙🤙
Great video Drew! What an awesome collection! Thanks for showing us your baseball room! Your set up is fantastic. I love you have cards, memorabilia, photos, etc and nothing looks cluttered. Congrats my friend! Thanks for sharing!
Drew thanks for the tour of your card room. You have done a great jog with all displays. A good mix of everything from cards, figurines, bats, balls etc... Love how anyone could simply walk in, with mouth dropped of course, and start looking through stuff. I love it all.
Well done and enjoyable Drew! I have to say I didn't see it coming, but my favorite part of your tour was the knick-knacks from your teenage employees. I have slowly been collecting greeting cards and keepsakes from students over the years, and they mean the world to me.
That's really neat Alex. There are so many great memories and stories represented on that shelf. I really need to spend some time and document how many countries and people are represented there
Your collection room looks warm and inviting. I agree when it comes to having that card show feel, it encapsulates the attention of those that love Vintage. Jake reached out to me and mentioned that you’re going to be rooming with us for the national next year. Looking forward to it man!
Thanks Sammy. It's just a cool.place to sit and stare. As far as the National goes there is a ton of things that have to fall in place but knowing lodging is taken care of is a huge check on the list. Thanks for taking time to watch and check the room out
Haha. Glad you liked it Mike. I started working for them when I started college in 89 and they were just starting out. I figured they paid for about a year and a half of my tuition. Glad you enjoyed the tour.
Thanks Joe. I've been wanting to do one for a while but just never had the energy to clean the entire room up until now. Glad you liked it. Even though it looks like o have tons of stuff it's really everything I have
That was a really fun tour. Thanks for inviting us in! That Griffey 3D printout is fantastic -- and when you turned it off, it kind of reminded me of Han Solo trapped in carbonite, lol. Also, Erskine was my first TTM (a '57) when I got back in three years ago -- so his auto, career and overall story I find pretty special. So glad the HoF recognized him this summer. Great video!
Thanks Tony. I hope to your able to get a nice space for your display but I've always felt you've done a great job with what you have now. You have a nice way to tell a story with one small space at a time
Hello, what a great, fantastic and very well hobby room ! WOW ! You get a fantastic collection ! I LOVE LOVE thoses1954 Red Heart cards ! Thoses cards are just incredible ! Thanks for sharing and Happy Collecting.
@@thedrewavintagelegacy6455 i also would said, your hobby room is very well organized ! Hope a day i will be able to get an hobby room as organized as you !
Very tastefully done! More than a fine line between tasteful and busy... you have a knack. I have a HUGE sports mag collection. I have that Musial/Williams All Star SI with Williams autograph. I have Bing Crosby's personal subscription copy of Clemente's only SI cover from '67. Crosby was part owner of the Pirates for a time.
Very cool; I always enjoy seeing how that room has changed over the years! Thank you for sharing! Also, I'd love to learn more about that catcher's outfit. 😊
You know you are welcome anytime to come back and see it. It's actually the cleanest it's been on a while so you need to come soon before the girls get back up there again.😁
They were great in concert and genuinely very nice guys. I'm glad your had the opportunity to meet and work with them so.long ago. Thanks for checking the room out. I really appreciate it
Wow! I had no idea you were making all your videos from inside this amazing museum. I mean I knew you had cards on the wall, but not at this level of awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Doug. That means a lot to me. It's really a place to just sit and reflect. Of you're ever in the neighborhood I'd love to have you try out my incredibly uncomfortable chair and just chat life and cards for a while.😁
Well, that was a fun tour. Always like some DC Talk and Tobias MacKinnon 😂 I will have to go back and watch the video with the Griffey case. Awesome Dodger card displays. Cool that you made the displays. Very nice card room.
I hope you do. It was one of my first videos and named something like My Monster Card case and how I got it. It's really a great story and absolutely a unique piece.
Thanks Billy. I was thinking about your case when I filmed mine. I really like what you did with it. That's what makes it so much fun. The display options are endless
Beautiful room! Everything is displayed well and organized. Really like your display cases on the walls and especially how you've got your red hearts. Im going to go thru your past videos to see if you ever showed more about how you've made them and put the cards in. One of the best card rooms I've seen on YT. 👍🔥 Thanks, Sam
Appreciate you stopping by. I've never shown how I built everything since I did it years before I was on RU-vid but I definitely share a number of stories about what each case has and why they are so special to me.
Super cool Drew! I love these videos! Great look at your room Congratulations on the great collection! You have a very cool setup man!! Thanks for sharing and letting us take a look!
Tremendous collection and very thoughtful display. Great variety of items in addition to cards. So many interesting pieces..enjoyed Pee Wee Reese cards (my dad’s favorite player). Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching. If you would like go back to a small serious of vidios I made earlier this year showing off all of my Reese stuff. Some of my favorites for sure.
Your museum is beyond fabulous. Awesome displays of historic moments in time. I have a similar room, but with Rock & Roll as the theme. Could have a sports room, but my wife won't let me, nothing even close to yours. DC Talk had a great song mid-90's that got minimum airplay. I bought the CD...Baseball Rules!! Go Twins!
Than you so much for you kind words. It's definitely a great place to just sit and take it all in. Wonder if Jesus Freak was the song by DC Talk you're referring to. It absolutely one of my favorites
Awesome room! I like the Brooklyn Dodgers and Stan Musial items. I also love the 1953 Bowman, 1956 Topps, 1963 Fleer and the Red Heart cards! Very nice Drew.
An Awesome room. There is a lot of stuff in there, but super organized. Sammy @Sammythunder sent me your way, super glad he did. Again, what an awesome room, must be hard to leave it, once your in there, lol.
I appreciate you checking it out. Sammy is a great guy and so kind to share my channel. I'm glad you liked the tour. It is a nice place just to quietly sit and take it all in sometimes.
cool room… i’m a HOF only collector and see some good cards in there I collect.. but u also have alot of sets and commons… I dont collect them.. but pretty cool to see that u have done.. we all collect different which makes the hobby so fun...
Hey Mike. What an honor. Thanks for checking it out. I left a comment on one of your videos where I mentioned I only keep cards I can display so when I pick a new one up I get rid of an old one. It keeps me from just accumulating and makes every pickup mich more meaningful. This video showed everything I have. Appreciate you checking it out
What a great room, Drew! I appreciate the tour and love the way you have everything displayed to enjoy. Now this is cozy for me, I’d rarely leave the room! I’d consider moving my videos indoors if this was my studio 😄 The DC talk items were a nice surprise!
I'd love to have you over some time and just sit and chat life, cards, baseball or whatever. Maybe someday. As far as the DC Talk stiff like I mentioned I worked with them way back in the day. They probably paid for a year and half worth or tuition. Good times but man that was a long time ago now
Drew, stop making me wake up early on a Saturday! Next time no earlier then 9am! Jokes aside, it was really cool seeing your room! I definitely thought it would of been bigger. You really utilized the space well. Your custom displays are definitely my favorite part! I would worry about dust. It must be a pain to dust some of the area with all the Nick knacks. My room is just a wall right now but hopefully I can keep building it out. Great tour!
Sorry about the early alarm on a Saturday. Text me your preferred wake up time and I will try and release my videos in a more timely manner according to your rest schedule.😁 Seriously though thanks for watching. I've been wanting to do this for a while but just never had the energy to clean the room all up. Normally there are top loaders, magazines, toy from my kids etc everywhere. It's funny you mentioned the fist because I think yesterday when I filmed this it was the first time I dusted those shelves. It's really not that bad and I'm actually only on there maybe once a week to shoot a video or just sit in the quiet for a bit. I suppose I could use the early morning to do it now that I have to wait to post things😉
That's awesome. Michael is so down to earth and a great guy. He has one of the absolute best voices in Christian rock history in my opinion. Thanks for watching
@@thedrewavintagelegacy6455 Their show is definitely amazing. It’s the 3rd time we’ve seen them. Their new band member Adam has a great voice as well! Stryper was at this festival as well and Michael Tait and John Copper from Skillet were jamming out together as they listened to Stryper, lol.
Yes in college. We made these little crosses that they sold at their shows during their first two tours. Anytime they played near us we would go and get to hang out backstage with them. We are actually listed in the "special thanks" part of the album of Nu Thang and Free At Last.
Hi Drew, I am glad to see this video get the amount of views it deserves. Your room is warm and inviting. Most importantly, it is filled with cards and other items that have special meaning. I saw the table with the sets before but want to add that I like that it is setup so you can walk up and just thumb through them. If someone doesn’t think magazines are fun to collect and display, then they need to walk into your room. Having some chairs and a desk are a nice touch. I like cards rooms that are lived in. It is nice to sit and be surrounded by items that bring you some happiness. You have been blessed with a great family, friends and coworkers and it is reflected in your awesome collection. Have a great week.
Thank you for you kind words Terry. It is definitely a room that I like to just sit in. Sometimes I read or just think. It's typically quiet and just a nice respite even if just for a few moments.
I got the wood for those cases from a local cabinet shop. If the shop is big enough a lot of times they will give you their scraps for cheap or for free. Of course you need some tools to break it down to the right size but it's a great resource. Thanks for watching and good luck with some displays
Just subscribed. I’m hoping you have lots of card storage space behind those mini-doors? By the way, it might be my failing eyesight but I think I noticed your Griffey baseballs misspelling of “GRIFFIY”
Haha. You are correct. That's some of the small changes I'll do in the background to see who's paying attention. Appreciate the sub. My channel is a bit different I think. Basically sharing stories and just trying to connect in this community Appreciate you being willing to come along for the ride
My favorite part was sharing how you had a pool table upstairs.. It instantly made me think of seinfeld and George's dad and Kramer playing pool in georges old room lol. You a gambling man, Cosmo?
First time ive seen 1 of your videos. I collect football cards but i absolutely love your room. Ive dreamed of having a room like that. Any chance you can make instructions on making one of your display cases. I have 160 completed sets any always wanted to display some of the best ones. Any suggestions?Id even consider buying a case if can make one
Thanks for checking me out. While I do woodworking I wouldn't feel comfortable trying to make videos teaching but there are ton of other more qualified people on RU-vid already. That's where I learned basically everything I know. Honestly buying them is easier and probably cheaper unless you already have the tools and wood needed.
Hey thanks. No. Not sure what you saw but the only wax packs I have are a couple of junk wax ones that a friend gave my kids. Appreciate you watching though.
Great room Drew! Sounds like we both did the same thing by taking off the closet doors in our rooms...makes for more room and nice display area. Your room actually looks like it's pretty good size. Do you know what the dimensions are?
I mean to me that's just bonus space and more walls to hang stuff. Appreciate it though. Been wanting to do this one for a while and am glad I finally did
That why I do it. Knowing I have them is one thing but I like looking at them. Most of my card are very low grade but I just love having them. Thanks for checking it out
Very nice, The Drew. Maybe someday, I'll come over, sit in that ugly comfortable chair, we'll eat cheap hot dogs and drink Sunny Delight (I'm not sure why -- just seems right) and talk about baseball cards. I'll try not to spill my Sunny Delight on your Don Mossi rookie.
The first time I read this I thought om not sure how but that makes sense. Now after thinking about I'm not as sure why I thought that. You are invited any time and if Sunny D is your drink I will have some on ice waiting for you my friend
My wife got it for me years ago online. It shows through the 85 set. I would think ebay would.have some or if there is some online used books dealer but I will warn you that it is a monster and real heavy so I couldn't even imagine what shipping might be. Haha Thanks for watching and the support
Drew, wow, you got the views on this video! Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! People wanted to see the Mountain Man's Man Cave! I would be honored to sit in your ugly, horribly uncomfortable chair some day, but only is squid are allowed! 😂 WAY WAY WAY too much card 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥for one video! 😊Outrageously cool room! You should do a video showing all of the Yankees displayed in your card room! 😂👍P.S. I did not see a squid key chain!
If I was ever blessed to have you visit I would take the uncomfortable chair and give you the throne of luxury. As far as the keychains go I did have someone give me one that is a sushi from Japan. We can now assume that the mystery meat within is squid. Seriously though I am absolutely overwhelmed and honored for the amount of people who took time to view my humble collection. Hope you have a great week my friend.👍
Yes. I mentioned in the video I change something small in the background of every video. If those balls are turned around it spells out "The Kid". I just turned one around. Most people don't notice. Nice job
