Adrian discusses what types of acoustic panels we use in our demo rooms. These acoustic panels aren't just foam, they are made by Vicoustic with selected materials and shapes to help with absorption, reflection, refraction, and diffraction of sound. They can be used to soundproof the room of your choice, but in our case we use them to make music sound better!

I had a comprehensive evaluation of my room done from GIK. Ended buying quite a bit of room treatments and it’s changed the game. You have no idea what your system can do if you remain untreated. Most important is bass management- something not really addressed in the room treatments in this video. And ALL rooms need it.

Awesome! You do read the comments - asked for a review of those panels you were using. Appreciate the content and great review as usual.

Love this and was just looking into room treatment. Those white foam vicoustic panels towards the end would be perfect in my office! Looking forward to your how and where to install them video. Also that Hegel is working out nicely!!

Really like the options offered from that brand. I have grown very comfortable with ' over treating ' my listening space to nearly recording studio level. I will be experimenting more with my larger space.. but for a small nearfield scenario, 80% High-Freq absorbed suits my taste.

How do you know which items to use and in what positions? I'm sure these type of products are only really intended to be used by expert installers.

Apparently you and I do not agree on the definition of "very inexpensive". If you said twenty or thirty per panel, we could see more eye to eye. But those ore not "very inexpensive".

$70 a panel is dirt cheap

@@scrambaba Margin of 100% is pretty low for the industry, usually margin for audio equipment is 300% of cost, so I guess this is a bargain

How would I know what I need for vicoustic and where to lace them. Thanks Tim

The materials used is nothing other than Thermocol, foam, cork or cheap plywood. All very inexpensive stuff! However, most companies producing acoustic panels are making a killing by over pricing them many times over and we audiophiles are to blame for buying them at that price! The materials used in most of these products wouldn’t be more than a few bucks! My suggestion - make them at home if u can!

Isn't that the rub? It's always easy to say that materials cost is far less than the actual product being sold. With some exceptions, most products are made by companies, and companies have costs, profits to make, salaries to pay, etc. Do you work for free?

How badly do you have to tear up the wall to install these things?

Just apply the appropriate glue, no need to do anything else

You say inexpensive but in actuality it’s extremely expensive the cost to make those is mere dollars compared to what you’re asking for it so don’t say inexpensive because it’s not not even close!!!!
