Trey, that is awesome. Root really did a nice job of adapting the PBTA system in a way that made it feel different and interesting! Glad you are going to get a chance to see for yourself. Thanks for watchingz
Im a game designer, and both my published books are PbtA. It makes me happy to see big companies making PbtA games instead of D20 Systems. Root and Avatar are two amazing examples hehe PS: Dungeon World is hard cover here in Brasil.
Consider me jealous of your copy of DW in that case! PbTA is a great system that inherently has a lot of stylistic flexibility. That said, I think it needs 1) a game master that knows how to keep a story moving and 2) a group that isn’t focused on munchkin type min/max for enjoyment. Other than that and I would say it is a perfect system for just about any group and genre.
@@booksbricksandboards783 My first book started as a DW hack. It takes the awsome move engine and hugely increases character customization to the point that even "munchkin" players might enjoy hehe
lol. Yeah, they even did an expansion as well. It is PBTA so if you like Dungeon World or Monster of the Week, the rules set will be right up your alley.
@@Ruinbornaftonalwayscomesback yeah I figured that out 😂🤣. I was apologizing for giving you the next must purchase item idea… been there brother, happens to me all the time!
