Rory Gallaher. The finest electric guitarist anywhere. Anytime. Even Hendrix said so. The Stones wanted him. Rory said no. Got my own band with my own music and my great bass player, Gerry McAvoy. God bless Rory Gallagher. I know he is still here. I can still feel him and his 61 Strat. Thanks Rory.
The one and only! No shit effects or doubbing. And he only had a 30 wat vox amp. And still was recorded in guinness book of records as loudest live show back in the day lol litterally handed ear plugs at the door going into his shows 😂
Well...those other guys ARE great....but Rory just had that humbleness...he didn't pretend to be a big "rock-star", he was just the REAL DEAL....no bullshit pretenses...music is subjective...it's what an individual WANTS to hear....Rory touched SO MANY people! Truly one of the BEST players of ALL TIME.
"Iv'e been locked in this cage gonna break away, before it's to late, I'm gonna rewrite the page, take the stage, live tomorrow today, you found your dreams were mislaid you wanna run away, All your dues have been paid, Now it's time to depart, follow your heart, follow your flame." From the G-Man. Himself. Who could have said it any better? Rock on RORY.
No body but Rory with his poetic Pisces soul can/could conjure up such beautiful music & perform it so meaningfully. I cry for his pain that he once suffered but no more. He is with the angels now, but not before he left us so much of himself for us to marvel at & enjoy. Thank you, Rory. ☘
Lead guitar, Rhythm Guitar, vocals, songwriter, the best Fender player ever. Not bad. He left a catalogue of consistent but varied material that will keep us listening for years to come!
@@lars-ivarcarlsen9722 MRSA took him. But, he did suffer from depression and way too much alcohol too. So sad. I think, along with millions of others, that he was a very special man. So many people love you, Rory. I hope we can meet you in the afterlife.
Tal vez no t entendí, TODOS los músicos deben sentir las notas en sus venas y después vomitar todo lo q siente..... ¿Músicos o delicad@s personajes? Eso es todo 🍀
This is my favorite song of his. I learned it a long time ago, and the video helped me play one part more correct. He was a great player and up there with Clapton and Mick Taylor
@GerryBolger One year later I think this is still the best and most sane comment at this wonderful video by one of my favourite musicians of all times.
Garry McAvoy, my fav. bassplayer, together with Phil Lynott, they are the best... oh wait, I forgot Jack Bruce, another old soldier that will never die.....
Rated right up the top by the actual Rolling Stones (never mind the magazine) , they wanted him but he had his own path, and it was the same story with Deep Purple too , who cares what a magazine thinks on that basis. Rory!! Never forgotten.
Once upon a time Jimi Hendrix was asked how it feels to be the worlds best guitarplayer. Jimi said: "Why should I know? Ask Rory Gallagher, he is the one!" And this story is true !!
I participated in a discussion about Knopfler being a genius because he used his fingers instead of a pick.... I listed a few exceptional guitarists that came before him. But the only genius I can think of is Rory, spectacular though suble player composer the Rock world has seen. Been amazed by Rory since my youth... Only discovered Follow Me 2 years ago... The most savage solo he's ever produced in the studio version, He's a million miles away from most performers 😊
When Rory arrived at the golden gates he was meet by Saint Peter along with God the Father and his son Jesus also Saint Patrick from Ireland. They all set down and had a beer and a very long chat about the state of good music back down on Mother Earth, they God said to Rory follow me , it was then the Rory was given a new name Saint Rory The Master Guitar Player Gallagher. Rory and his great palls Philip Parris "Phil" Lynott, James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix, Robert William Gary Moore, Lou Martin, and drummer Rod de'Ath play most Saturdays in Kingdom Hall with Jesus up front most nights when he gets the chance to get away from his work.
I have got some Up To Date News on William Rory Gallagher the very great man himself. I have heard it from a very reliable source that Rory along with Philip Parris "Phil" Lynott, James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix, Robert William Gary Moore, and John Henry Bonham are playing gigs 7 nights a week in the Kingdom Hall and are packing the place out with Jesus up in the front most nights having a great time rocking out. God had to remind the boys about the 7th day that it should be a day of rest.
This is the reason right here why, when rolling stone magazine interviewed jimmi hendrix and asked him what it felt like to be the greatest guitar player alive, his awnser was, "I dont know, you better ask rory gallagher" fact!
In a interview they asked Jimi Hendrix "How does it feel to be the best guitarist on the planet" Jimi said "I don't know, ask Rory Gallagher". Rock in Peace Rory.
Prvi,drugi srednje,ploča u kutu,na sniženju,imam malo love,ajde kupim,dok sam del na svoju Toscu(22),mrcina od gramofona,za mene(onda,pa sad),terapija!,bolje od šugavog života
@abcpromicom The exact quote is better - 'Mr Hendrix, whats it like to be the best guitarist in the world?' 'I don't know, why don't you ask Rory Gallagher?'
