I have the same reaction ..... I want more Onew in that song. But it is okay I guest. They all perfect together.

The reality TV show that these clips are from is called Sea of Hope and it's a program where a group of singers team up to run an outdoor beach bar, and because they are all outstanding singers, as part of the concept for the program, they also do live acoustic performances of songs as part of the entertainment at the bar. Some of the songs are songs they have rehearsed together and others are songs that the customers have requested or are just songs they decide to sing spur of the moment. (Onew and Suhyun, and others, are wearing those aprons because they also are waiters and bartenders who are serving drinks and bringing the audience food which they cook themselves on the program as well.) These weren't the only songs that Onew and Suhyun sang, they perform several songs every episode, so you can find clips of performances from all the cast of the show. There are several songs they have all performed on the show so far. (The show is airing right now, so more clips of Onew and Suhyun singing are being released every week.) Fun fact: The producers of the show said they cast Onew for the show because he has soothing vocals that would be pleasing to listeners no matter what song he sings. Onew is known as the industry's most favorite male singer and he his voice is literally perfect with anyone he sings with. Everyone covets a chance to sing with Onew. As I think you know, Rose is the main vocalist of the mega popular YG Entertainment girl group BlackPink and she was born in New Zealand and grew up in Australia, so that is why her English is so good. (She didn't know all the words to the song by heart, but she knew the song, so that is why she was able to sing it so well while looking at the lyrics.) She was a special guest on the show for one or two episodes. (But the rest of the cast are regular cast members of the show.) Suhyun is a member of AKMU, a Kpop co-ed duo group also under YG Entertainment. AKMU (pronounced like ack-moo -- like back without the b and moo like a cow) which is short for Akdong Musician are a brother/sister duo that write and compose all their own music. The older brother, Lee Chanhyuk, is the songwriter and composer who you will often see and hear play the guitar in their songs and his sister, Lee Suhyun, is the one who is the main vocal. All their songs are inspired by real life experiences and are 100% created by them. That's why AKMU's sound and style is so unique because they are different then the typical Kpop artists. If you like Suhyun's voice you have to check out more of her live performances on the Sea of Hope and another Korean TV program called Begin Again. The TV show that Suhyun participated in for 3 years prior to Sea of Hope was Begin Again, which featured singer/songwriter Kpop artists who teamed up to form a group and they spent several weeks busking all over Europe. In Begin Again, not only does the group sing the songs live, but several of the members are also musicians so they perform the music live as well. In Begin Again you will see Suhyun perform with Henry from SM's senior group, Super Junior -- who is known for his talent with instruments -- and several other famous Kpop solo musicians and singers as part of a group called The Family Band. This group was so popular that The Family Band actually did 2 seasons of the show. And the best part is they busked on the streets all across Ireland, England, Switzerland, Portugal and Hungary, etc., so the people they performed for don't speak Korean, but they always fall in love with The Family Band's performances. And Suhyun and Henry also participated in a third season last year when they traveled around Korea to perform with some of their Family Band members, as well as other well known Kpop musicians and artist. This show showcases real life busking performances with some of the best musicians and singers in the Kpop industry. (So, Suhyun has become very well known for her live acoustic band performances of her songs, famous Korean songs and covers of famous western pop songs. She is very comfortable singing live in a setting like what you saw in Sea of Hope. And these songs are songs she has sang a lot over the years, so she is very familiar with them.)

Lol should probably point out that Rosé is actually the guest, Onew and Suhyun are both part of the show's regular cast. To be more specific: Sea of Hope is about a small pop up "restaurant" that's run by a cast of singers and/or actors and takes place in two different beach locations. Rosé helped out at the first location/during the first 6 episodes. The remaining episodes, at the second place, has a another singer joining in.

Lee Suhyun is a singer, radio host and now actor. She's part of the sibling singing duo AKMU, been in the business since age 14.

This was an improvised song for the encore and it feels way to short. Specially in Onew's part! I would take with a grain of salt the comments about Onew's voice being underrated and Rosé being the best. In part it goes to how different it is being from a group 13 y.o as Shinee and one of only 5 years old like Blackpink and trends. If you look at fans voted lists of vocalists, Onew was usually in a higher place than Rosé till recently. Some short, incomplete, explaination: In Onew's case, his solo work has been quite korean oriented which sometimes gets mistaked for underrated from international fans. His only album is all ballads and his collaborations have been with either kind of indie musicians or classic koran singers. He seems to prefer quiter type of promotions anyway that makes him seem overshadowed by other artists or even other members of Shinee. In Rosé's case, she is certainly trendy now(Blackpink is in many countrys' music charts now and Rosé had her solo songs recently) but without that she can't even begin to grasp the respect of IU, Aillee, Taeyeon,... from the general public yet. Going to Sea of Hope was probably a way to show her voice to people out of her fans in her pure artistic way out of just being an it girl. And she did amazing! Anyway, lots of amazing korean vocalists. Let's say that because there is Billie Eilish doesn't make Alicia Key underrated and because Rosalia is widely known is not like general spanish public have her as the best vocalist. About Akmu, they are also very appreciated by the general public in Korea. Probaly more than Rosé again. Suhyun and her brother Chanhyuk won a music program in 2012 and they've been fully active since 2014. Suhyun is an habitual of programs like Sea of Hope and Chanhyuk has composed for other artist apart than themselves. So think of a some cute talented siblings that have grown in the public eye.
