The full painting process for my newest painting, Rosewood!
I'll also upload a shorter timelapse video - might as well when CSP makes it so easy to generate- but speedpaint videos in this style are a huge part of how I learned to paint and are definitely the kind of video I prefer to make. You can learn so much more from actually seeing what I was looking at as I zipped around the canvas!
Many of my paintings have a technical focus I'm trying to practice, and on this one it was primarily speed. I wanted to get through a painting without getting hung up in the details, and keep that loose painterly vibe I'm so fond of. I'm not sure if I can quite call it a success- this whole painting took around 5hr to make, over a couple weeks. But I'm pretty happy with the result!
