Would have liked to see something more than a high elevation LOS range test. Low altitude with obstacle interference would have been a practical test.

Great test! Looks like for LOS flight the 01 is nearly as good as the 02. As someone else said already though, a lower altitude test with buildings, forests, or hills - or all three - in the way would be great to see too.

Thanks for the info. I came to youtube to search for others with this device and how the quality of the videos are which is pretty bad. Does it depend on what camera you are using or is it the receiver. I know when watched on the application with my phone it show clear but crappy in the saved videos.

No it's not possible. You need to connect an analog camera to a 5.8GHz VTX and then you will be able to use the ROTG VRX.

su35supaflanka it should be fine, it also depends how long you will be using the FPV camera for ! I'm planning on using the pre-existing plug for the light on the MJX bugs 3, basically anything between 3v-5v should work !

At 800/200mw the maximum range was over 1KM - The maximum range of my Bugs 2 quadcopter...

725 meters for receiving a 800mw signal? That's something strange! I remember few years ago i was able to fly over 1km with just 200mw video transmiiter, used some Boscam tx and rx. Are these OTG receivers so bad, or rather antennas are not good?

I could have pushed it way farther... Maybe it was the max distance of the drone I've used. Anyway it's an older video of mine and now I use better methods to test max ranges :-)

Yes, you can. You will need to connect a VTX ro an Rx and output the video on the same channel.

I purchased the ROTG2, i get a nice image but no sound at all neither from my phone nor using the exit "video/audio/5v/Gnd" (It works with a similar skydroid receiver). Sound is so important to me, do you have an idea ? ;)

The phone interface via the Android app does not support audio. I am surprised that it didn't work as well using the JST connector, although I didn't test it out myself...

@@KremerFPV Don't forget the Realacc Triple feed patch antenna needs a terminator on the other (LHCP vs RHCP) RF input as you did in your demo. It should not be used without this accessory (from BangGood).

Which VTX are you using? Make sure that both VTX and RXs are using the same frequency.

@@KremerFPV Hey Gal, thanks for your reply. Tried with Eachine TX805S, ZOHD VC400 and Succex Force 800mw VTX's, using TBS Triumph and patch antennas. Frequency is spot on, I always use A5 channel. more or less unusable, OSD is blurry, numbers unreadable in most cases. I just ordered Eachine Moneagle 5 inch diversity screen, so I can atleast have something on my workbench and for spectators on field.

@@KremerFPV I'd rate the video at maybe 4/10. uncomparable to video in my Cobra X goggles. "crystal" clear in goggles. maybe it's my Galaxy Tab3 and my phone. they don't actually meet the requrements for that specific driver and OTG to work, but somehow they work. maybe it's not fully supported and the reason lies there.

@@sidd8310 Perhaps. If possible test it with another mobile device and see if it makes any difference. You can also use the video out port of the ROTG02 and see if the video quality is the same as the one on your phone.

I am not sure if it will work. Try using an OTG splitter which will enable you to charge your phone simultaneously.

I notice how many people are running so many side by side test side by side. My point is that there is noise from other electronics. Maybe you have some experience in isolating them or videos on this. The cleaner the better.

When I compare FPV cameras - I connect the cameras directly to DVR units, in order to eliminate the interruptions. In this video I used only one VTX connected to the camera, and I don't think the receivers affect each other.

And !?? Seems there was little to NO differences between the 'diversity' and the ROTOG1 versions. But then other reviewers have found similar. results. Save the added hassle of buying/fitting 2 bespoke antennas. Simply use 100 or 200Mw Tx power .. IF ?.. it it becomes necessary in your particular environs..

No. If you will use a big directional antenna for long range FPV, it will be noticed. If you are just flying in your back yard or in small areas, get the ROTG01.

Благодаря этому куску китайского овна потерял квадрик. Запись сглючила, фал битый, восстановить ничем не смог. Сервис у них похоже не работает. Жрет электричество немеряно. 4000 mah смартфона хватит всего на часа полтора. Завести внешнее питание не смог.

not a true comparison, ALL antennas should be the same, you cant use a patch to compare receiver quality against one without a patch!!!

I think that you missed the point. The intension WAS to compare a non diversity receiver with its upgraded version that has a diversity receiver :-)

Gal Kremer no, I didn't miss the point, you compared two receivers with different antennas, it's not a fair or accurate test and not even what diversity ws designed for. diversity was actually designed for using multiple antennas of the same type but in different locations and/or orientation. you used a high gain antenna as one antenna on the diversity, a complete unfair comparison and offers absolutely no scientific information on the diversity performance as it will always remain locked on the high gain. farcical test probably for a well known retail outlet who provided a free sample for a guaranteed positive review don't do tests if your not going to actually 'test' this wasn't a test, the high gain rigged it from the outset and essentially broke what the diversity should be tested on.
