Roto is the Extruder that your printer deserves - it carefully balances weight (140g) and force (70N+) to provide the lightest, most power-dense 3D printing extruder on the market.

This is exactly what I needed for my really compact, folding 3D printer!

i'm really happy it's compatible with the V6 ecosystem. revo is great but i still appreciate the open source option

Not only that... It gives a much better bang for the buck when you can reuse your block, heater, thermistor and spare nozzles. My Anet AM8 will be much more happy now 😂

Good designs becomes simple like previous MK8 with no fancy heatsink but smaller motor. 140g is impressive 👍. would be great to direct drive my SR. Good job Roto

Will this work with the Prusa Mini? I would LOVE to get Direct Drive on my Mini (already running Revo Micro). Do you plan to release any models / guides for mounting this on the Prusa Mini?

What about part cooling? Is it still needed? Maybe sold separately?

There appears to be two holes on each side, not sure if they're threaded but they could potentially be mounting points for such add-ons?

Part cooling is already designed, a pair of duct options. Being uploaded to the E3D site

very neat, I wonder what printer designs will result from this innovation.

I don’t really need it, but I purchased one anyway. Looks like it will be a good fit on my Sk Go2.

It looks great. My only concern is that the idler is not easily usable by those of us with only one hand, like myself. Still, it looks sharp and well designed! 👍
@DUIofPhysics
@DUIofPhysics 10 месяцев назад
It was specifically designed for use with one hand? Much easier then competing products for sure - I've had one in my hands before. You put a finger on each side of the filament monitor and then pull with your thumb against the main body, it clips in place itself, open, so you can then pull the filament out without issue, with only one hand. They explain it briefly in the video. See 1:08

I can use it with one hand, with just 2 fingers actually.

Nice But.... NO practical use in a printer that is used to print engineering materials that requires a heated chamber above 40c ambient though is it.
@lukasmatzinger
@lukasmatzinger Месяц назад
Why do you say that, which part of it is not able to withstand reasonable chamber temps, e.g. 60-65C? hard to get hotter without active chamber heating, which opens a whole other can of worms.
