Were you using them as strobes when shooting the image? Because they all looked massively underexposed until you edited them, which isn't a great ad for a lighting product!

No I was just using the continuously, the trigger that makes them flash did not come in the light kit so I didn’t want to use it, although I absolutely agree and think it would be much better if I had that!

Nice, did u use the main light on continuous or on strobe .Can the fill light strobe RGB or only continuous

I used it just on continuous, although flash been better in this situation (The light kit I was talking about does not come with the flash trigger so I didn’t want to use it in the video). You can flash in any color

I knew these would be pricey, but WOW! The lights look really versatile, but WOW! I guess if you're a high-end pro this is the kind of kit you'd want.

Yeah but if you’re doing video too, strobes won’t help. It’s definitely more of a hybrid shooter light.

It's a nice kit, but a bit pricy. I have a couple of lower powered RGB lights and some really handy gels for strobes. Not as easy as those, so I will manufacture some need for peak brightness so my gear doesn't get jealous of your gear. Oh wait, they have to work with Canon. My gear will be fine 😈 Nothing but love for your work.

Very cool to take a relativly basic location and make it appear to be a cliff off in the mountains. Knowing how to envision a location and take it out of the everyday is a great skill. And the lights definately enhance it. Thanks.

I've worked with a few dancers and I'd say yes, they would absolutely pose on a cliff and take risks I would want them to take, they are such artists! Location lighting is a bit of a minefield and an expensive one, I've looked at these before and I am undecided, for all their versatility I don't think they have the light power, I think they are probably very good video lights and maybe photography supplemental lights outdoors. I know you will need gels otherwise, but it's hard to beat the punch you can get from the equally expensive Profiorio Air kit. On a budget... RT 600s or similar with gels and brellas!

Definitely very different pieces of equipment. I don’t think you can compare strobes with these, even those these flash. These are definitely great if you shoot both photo and video as a strobe isn’t going to help you for the video and these lights have so many great features for video that I didn’t show off. But I definitely understand what you mean!

@@VanessaJoy I wasn't really making a comparison, they are clearly good, versatile and very feature-rich lights, I am just unsure if they have that much power, comparing them would be almost as daft as comparing a DSLR to a Mirrorless, they both do the same thing but in a very different way. Unfortunately for many of us, we don't have the opportunity to test them in the wild. Getting away from the point a bit, LED is of course a great technology but it has been forced on us, it is nearly impossible to get any other lighting technology now, I use halogen torches [maybe flashlights to you] for light painting, it has great colour and contrast and LED, although generally more powerful, doesn't really cut it, but that is more to less all you can get, once my few remaining halogens are dead, that's probably it forever, I'll probably have to go scavenging old car headlamps on scrapheaps! lol Have you ever heard The Jam, Going underground? It's kind of come true! The public wants what the public gets...

@@Simon-SBL I've used the AEOS2 for a portrait shoot during a partly sunny/cloudy day with good results. Each upgrade they do produces more power. The 1st AEOS was not very effective during daytime shoots.

@@DanielFazzari I tend to shoot in lower light, but on occasion, you need more raw power, unusually here in the UK, this kit probably works out cheaper than in the US once you add in the tax, which is already included in our pricing, there is usually a pretty large price disparity between here and the US, but still expensive, I'd love to have a mess about with these, but I don't think they are for me. Lighting is a bit of a minefield and like most things photography related, there usually isn't a single best solution.

Been using Rotolights for a couple years now and really like them a lot! Extremely versatile, and eliminate the need for gels and softboxes (to a certain extent), and the latest versions are fully controllable with your phone!
