Great Video, I have a 2500 with the similar set up and I am getting ready to install some fender flares also. Your truck looks good with them on. Thanks for posting this.
Are you still enjoying the flares? Any complains? I am interested in ordering some but have heard people have gotten some scratches and rust when removing them later. Would love to hear how they are holding up for you.
I traded the truck about a year ago. But when i did have it I pulled the flares off and noticed they left marks on the clear coat so it would only be a matter of time before its down to the paint or metal. I did purchase a better rubber gasket material after I pulled them off and had them painted. If your worried about long term wear on the paint Id got with a factory style of flare that uses a double sided adhesive around the top edge to eliminate the chance of scratching.
@@joshshuza I know this is an older video. I just got some for my 2021 Ram 2500, and the rubber has tape on both sides now. Maybe they improved on the gasket.
That’s good to know. If the flares are attached to the vehicle paint with 3m tape they won’t scratch the paint since it’s a secure bond and won’t vibrate.
