интересно, а подачи я так понимаю одинаковые и для фрез для больших подач, и для фрез для уступов и пазов? ну тоесть молый съем по глубине и большая подача, так?

эти маленькие фрезы могут выдерживать даже большие подачи, а также работать довольно тихо

You rarely use solid carbide endmills, why? Is it more affordable to use inserts? Also you machine dry and I assume is because you use inserts

You are right. We usually use replaceable blades. Mainly because we usually only machine shaped surfaces and replacement is easier.

А в чём преимущество WPB 16 HF на 0:40 ? Не пользовался такими. Есть же обычные фрезы 16мм с двумя пластинами для высокой подачи?

ap a ae znamená co ? otáčky a posuv to vím ale ty dvě nevím, jinak jak dlouho tvrala výroba ?

Ahoj. ap je Z krok čiže po kolko fréza bere. ae je prekrytie dráh frézou čiže keby bola fréza 10tka ae by bolo 100% šírku napr 30mm ofrézuje na 3 dráhy Hrubovanie trvalo asi 12hodín už si presne nepamätám.

Snad sa tu nenajdu zas geniovia, ktory budu vyplakavat, preco nepouzivas trochoidalne (high speed milling, adaptive, etc) drahy. ;) Takych ja mam osobne najradsej, lebo chlapci nechapu, ze tie drahy nemaju velky zmysel, ked robis komplikovane tvary a nie primitivne pockety.

To be fair, bottom up adaptive paths do exist. I use them I program them in aerospace parts all the time. We do complicated geometries, blisks, impellers, etc. Either way that’s the beauty of manufacturing, there are many different solutions to problems.

@@JonJon-dx3up I like trochoidal tool paths but only when they're used effectively. And most programers (younger ones) at the moment don't know when to use them. They always gave me surprised faces when I showed them in CAM that traditional toolpaths were considerably faster. When I showed them high feed toolpaths with proper high feed tools, they were even more surprised. The thing is most peoplr fell for the hype and didnt do proper comparisons for themselves on different scenarios. Trochoidal toolpaths need alot of repositioning to properly cut in the desired way - that's why you will cut alot of air if you're running parts with complex topologies. It's not rocket science, you just need to sit on your butt and do comparisons in your CAM software to get the feel when to use what.

@@chronokoks I do, that’s why I said their are many solutions to a problem. I use many methods from HEM, traditional roughing, plunge milling, etc. Anytime I do HEM I do forward and back cutting so I’m constantly engaging the part. My paths are always one engage and one retract. I’ve done plenty of comparisons, if I can cut time and costs I’ll use it just like I cut down time from 2 hrs to 15 mins cutting 316L using HEM. If I don’t see a benefit then I don’t use it. Pretty simple honestly. I’ve also cut time from 1 shift to 2 hours utilizing plunge milling with a face mill. Just gotta think outside the box

Couldn't agree more with you. Also, when you have a such challenging deepth - width ratio, long chips from trochoidal are much more difficult to evacuate than the ones from high feed. Well, if you use HPC and roughing endmill it will get better, but still... If you can use indexable tool and get less wear on the machine itself(assuming you know how to optimize the path, so it's not gonna be crazy at the corners). And it works even on very old machines - you can't say that about trochoidal. Changing insert is cheaper than resharpening or buying a new endmill. There's always more than one way to skin a cat. I'm just 26 this year, working on CNC for an 7 years now. I am and I always was honored to learn from "old cats". With so many options of automatization, strategies and tools, most of youngsters should put more effort into learning basics and theory behind it. Salute, beautiful work
