That's an honorable point of view, Kevin. While I haven't seen this for reasons of my own, I still would give it a chance because I like Emily Blunt. I'm not a fan of Tom Cruise either but my problem with him is how he's so often put in roles that he's not suited for. When he plays an utter asshole he's actually pretty good. It's when he tries to play a hero or a sex symbol that I can't suspend disbelief.

Hi Kevin. Mom's doing better today than she was yesterday but still needs some care. She should be going back to her assisted living facility in a few days, once they get her meds sorted out. Her potassium is back to normal and they've dried her out, but they're still fighting her blood sugar and respiration. Thanks for caring! Tell Tara and Bailey I've sacrificed a goat for them and sang the sacred metal version of Baby Shark in praise of the Mighty Cthulhu.

Shed probably like Oblivion a little more but it doesnt seem like shed get past Tom Cruise regardless. I get it though, there are a few actors i think need to change their face and have a fist delevered to their suckhole, luckily they dont get many roles.

Pratt was surprisingly good in The Terminal List too, nothing like these movies, obviously hes a good actor just didnt think hed fit in a serious roll.

Your hatred of Tom Cruise is great! (For your video) I completely disagree with you, especially trying to find a different actor to play Private Cage. They have producers, directors and casting agents to make that decision. I think this is a great movie! (The original name "Live, Die, Repeat" is a better name. It spells out that the writer thought of it while playing a FPS game.) And I think Cruise is really good in this!

I am not a fan of Tom Cruise either, that "power run" he does makes me giggle, but this was a good movie. It's based off a Japanese manga so the story is not "western" with all the political baggage that ruins western stories these days.

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. The repetition part was so much fun, but then it got to the bad, boring part near the end. Tom Cruise was perfect for this, esp. since he was cast so against type at the beginning of the film. I made the later part better by slowing the replay to half speed, which made Tara sound very drunk.

There is, in fact, one singular great Tom Cruise movie. And he isn't really what makes it great. That movie is "The Last Samurai". All others are somewhere between complete shit and "meh". Personal opinion, of course. The Jack Reacher movies are decent but the show ousthines both of them. This movie is JUST outside the edge of "meh" into "okay, sure" territory.

I'm also not a Cruise fan, but enjoy his movies (usually) because of his co-stars. Here, it's muscled-up sweaty Emily Blunt 😍 and trash talkin Bill Paxton (RIP). Other TC movies Tara might enjoy - Risky Business, Tropic Thunder (small part but memorable), or Collateral (where she's supposed to dislike him😉)

I’m the same way when it comes to swearing, it’s just kind of part of who I am, and happens almost unconscious of my ability to control it. I also tell people the same thing about bringing their kids around me, don’t do it unless you want them learning new, interesting words. And I’m not a big fan of Tom Cruise either, there have been maybe eight or nine movies that he was in that I enjoyed, and can actually tolerate watching more than once. So bring on the Lilliputian Scientologist bashing!!! And on this, I’m with Tara 100%, especially with recent movies like the Mission Impossible franchise, I think that he is trying too hard to stay relevant.

Tara's not wrong. ---her opinion differs stemming from her particulars,, and, so, valid ...multiple people with differing views can all be correct as to their particular points they use to assess a thing. -Ernie Moore Jr. Repeating romance or variations on a theme comedy versus everybody dies,, horror-murder-kill--emmersion needs a lack of experience or longing for that experience..to work.-Ernie Moore Jr. T&Kevin fit together while being different too. Tara can be right without explaining herself and Kevin can enjoy and appreciate creative emmersive avant gardde storytelling making him the developing character that grows into the hero....or having neuances to delve-through, notice and or or decipher.-Ernie Moore Jr.

I used to be indifferent towards TC until the first Mission Impossible movie. I loved the '89/'90 TV show and was hyped for that movie and then he had to make it all about himself and kill off all my beloved characters from the show ("luckily"(?) they didn't even bother casting the same actors, but it was clearly meant to be them). From then on out I actually hated that guy for quite a while. Edge of Tomorrow was the first and only movie since MI of him that I saw, because I do love stories about any kind of time shenanigans. I actually really liked the repetitions. And if it wasn't for TC I might have really enjoyed it. But with him in it, it's just "okay". Nowadays I'm back to indifference, but I still won't watch anything with him if it is at all possible to avoid.

I do like this movie but Ok tom, i've seen this movie b/4 a couple of times.....its time ya get it right the 1st time, this time without getting killed. ( i know he won't just wishful thinking) If he did the movie would be over in something like 1/2 an hour. Then you could call it: lived, got 'er done- did, roll the end credits! Maybe dude perfect guy should be doing tom's role in this movie.

I have watched this movie one and a half times before. The first time I kind of liked it, because I was curious how the story would end, but the second time was a drag. The repetitions were fun in "Groundhog Day", but in this movie they became boring very quickly. I still like the story of the movie, but I will probably never watch it again, unless they do a remake without Tom Cruise. So, for the most part, I'm team Tara - except for one thing: Nicole Kidman is much less annoying than TC. ;-) By the way, the warning from Kevin during the editing process was just awesome! Of course I have watched until the end!

I figured out, Tom Cruise is an adequate actor. Not terrible, not great. The wonder bread of actors. I figured this out while watching "Oblivion" where multiple times I wondered what other actor would have been better in this role. He's a placeholder, an (insert actor here) actor. Like plain white rice, flavorless and boring but does the Job of filling your stomach up.

It's a fun movie: we get to see every possible way for Tom Cruise to be painfully mangled and die. And in the end we get to watch his delusional death visions as he and the mangled alpha die together. And everybody celebrates the end of the war and the disappearance of an arrogant coward Marine officer. You don't have to watch Mission Impossibles on my behalf. Mr Phelps was an bright, intelligent, loyal, dedicated man. But to make room for Tom Cruise, they destroy Mr Phelps and let Tommie elbow him out of the way. The cross on the hat was all the style in 1859, and they've kept it since. Google is your oracle.

I am willing to give movies a chance whether I like an actor or not. He’s not one I’ve ever refused to watch his movies I just simply don’t seek them out either. I do hope that I come across one that will eventually change my mind about him. I’m a huge fan of his older films. If you’ve been a sub for a while then you are surely aware that I absolutely do not fake anything and I am brutally honest with my opinions and how I feel about it. I don’t hold back on anything or anyone. That’s the beauty of it… they are my opinion. It’s ok for me to have my opinion. You don’t have to agree at all and have your own views and that’s fine, but it wouldn’t cause me to dislike, argue or anything like that (or unsub from your channel if you had one) and I definitely wouldn’t have let it ruin something I like. It’s who I am as a person and refuse to change that for anyone. But, if you have a problem with someone who is being honest about their feelings on something then that’s a you problem not a me problem. I am who I am and I apologize to no one for being me. Lastnight I was stressed out about The Rent of all things and you caught the brunt of my personal anxiety. Truth is I can't stand Tom Cruise either so your not alone in that opinion. Again, I regret my attitude towards you as well as to your channel. I actually just recently discovered your channel and have been having a blast watching you and your reaction to some of my favorite movies. Would it be okay with you to subscribe to your channel once more ?
