$10 per year to keep an album online on the premium tier is still much better than the $50 a year you have to pay Tunecore. And, if sales drop low, you can switch back to the free tier.
We've been with Routenote for 12 years and I feel like its worth leaving this piece of info here: Percentages work better than fees because if you win, THEY win (with percentages). With fees they dont have a stake to push your music because they have that fee coming in at the beginning of the month no questions asked, so it's kind of like a "trust" thing, and as a business data trumps "trust". We actually dont understand how they get away with that business model. Things to think about.
Thank you for this video, that's what i was searching for over RU-vid actually, i am super glade that i clicked on your video, keep up your great work man ;)
Could I upload my EP on amuse and all the stores that aren’t available on Amuse could I upload them on route note to the rest of the stores without any problems?
Yeah, you could do that. Makes it harder to keep track of royalties and spot when streams and sales are being under-reported but other than that, you're ok.
@@Payusnomind Imagine I upload a track using Onerpm but there are a few stores I still want to upload..and I use Routenote...and I upload the same track,in that case will the same track be uploaded to our artist page twice or will Routenote check and then upload to other platforms where it has not been uploaded to? And will there be any confusion or misleading in that case?
how long do they take to get stuff on apple music? its been almost a month since i applied my song for release but it has only been put up on spotify till now
Thank u for being their i am your huge fan and you have proved a great support for me in learning new things ,i have a questions plz if you could help me 1. What if I want to monetize my youtube by myself? Will they remove their claim from my music video? Do they have whitelist for youtube?
From their Website: "All you need to do is contact our support team on support@routenote.com with your channel ID, they will whitelist your channel for you"
Hello. What happens if I join the Routenote Premium plan and the following year I decide not to continue with this plan and not pay, what happens to my songs, they will be removed from the digital platforms just like in distrokid?
Technically, you will be moved to the free plan. Every feature that you get with premium will be disabled but with RouteNote even on the free version you have all the store I think. Hope I helped you
If you don't want your songs to be removed, they won't. It's not like a job where you have to give a weeks notice or something. When you don't want to use them anymore, you stop using them to distribute your new releases. I have accounts with multiple distributors from CD Baby to ONErpm, and Amuse. There only needs to be a formal notice if there's some type of exclusive agreement and Routenote is non-exclusive.
Hello! Do I need a Tax Identification Number for Routenote? This tax thing is really important especially because some distributors such as Distrokid holds 30% from Non- US citizens.
my question is how do they put it in a account to make music do they preset a account named you're artist name because i never put a link in to tell them what spotify or what account to put it on that's my question
@@kidjunkie3886 it makes a account for you then you sign into it through spotify artist once your song goes live i suggest getting distrokid its way better
Your distributor releases your song on what's called a "Topic Channel" which is owned and controlled by RU-vid. It's not something you'll ever have access to. You have to create a RU-vid channel. If you want to know more about the different ways your videos are added to RU-vid, this guide will help a lot: punm-alt.lnk.to/AAUarRQdYo
@@JozifiedManik Hi bro.. I want an official artists channel like the one you have. From which distributor you claimed yours? Can I claim OAC using routenote?... and how long will it take?
What distribution platform lets me release an album with multiple artists like say a label album with various artists. I tried amuse and they saId they don’t offer that option.
So when your money goes to PayPal do they take another percent of your money or do you pay them that percentage I know that you can post your music for free on routenote but he said something about them charging you when they apply it to your paypal Please answer if you know
Yeah, there's a transaction fee when they send money to your Paypal. When I reached about it, they didn't volunteer that information. All they said was that they pay a percentage of it so you're not responsible for the full Paypal fee but they didn't say exactly what percentage they pay. Paypal charges 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction
Do not trust them. They have demonetized someone working with them for no reason and even blocked him when he tried to get help. They are a bunch of scumbags that will steal money for their own gain.
@@DonJamieBeatz the RouteNote Moderation Team says that it would only take 24-72 hours (3 days) for your song to be approved for distribution. But my releases took about 1 week before it got approved. You can always e-mail them when you releases' status didn't change after 3 days and they will immediately take action. Just like what happened today, it's been a week since I sent them my release but I e-mailed them yesterday and right after an hour it's approved hahaha
Dude, it’s so confusing! I’ve watched your videos comparing DK, Tunecore, cdbaby, and now Routenote. Who should I choose?? For every good thing one of these companies has there are negatives as well. No one seems to have it all across-the-board. It does seem like DK is the most popular right now. There’s a guy on RU-vid saying that One Rpm is the best currently. I don’t like that they take 15%
im on the same boat. currently looking to switch from distrokid. they are not too great when you get into the finer details, shady company. Ive heard tunecore is best but this one seems good if you are a smaller artist.
Ali Elseaidy So many people seem to say that DK is shady and yet they’re the most popular distributor of all. I don’t get it? In regard to Tunecore, Jeff Price the former CEO is now touting DK
S. Raphael I think it’s because they have so much money they can pay influencers like curtissking and djpain1 to make them look good because independent artists trust influencer producers like those ones who get paid by DK to make ads.
if you want to work with Routenote, DO NOT GIVE THEM RELEASES WITH ANY SAMPLES. they will content id match your music, point out what you are sampling and reject your release or tell you to give you proof that you have permission to use the sample
They owe me above 1.2k dollars and they wont give that by giving shitty copyright excuses. And it's not mee. Its their policy when you start earning quite a lot monthly. I know many who have been scammed in a very similar way. If ur thing is right, they play a huge business tactics. They dont cancel your song right away but wait till u reach peak. Fuck routenote
I sent my song to RouteNote and they released it. But they released it to the wrong artist profile now I'm dealing with removing it from their accounts. It's hard and it's literally the first time. Because of that i literally just wanna give uo
I've come here to confess that the best fee distributor in the world is Routenote. In just a week my music was available in all digital stores worldwide plus copyrighted in RU-vid. I vote Routenote.....
It won't pay royalties for views that take place on a non-monetized channel. It will pay for views that take place on Music.RU-vid.com or in the RU-vid Music app.
@@Payusnomind I read in a blog related to Routenote. RouteNote said that it monetises the content even on non monetised channels too by creating RU-vid content ID for them.
Definitely stay away from a distributor called Routenote. a complete scam . he makes money from my music that was removed without my permission. and they're not closing my account. what should I do for this?
Stop using Routenote I have been SCAMMED. They owe me above 1.2k dollars and they wont give that by giving shitty copyright excuses. And it's not mee. Its their policy when you start earning quite a lot monthly. I know many who have been scammed in a very similar way.
