Routing out the guitar body and getting it to the final shape. I used a Radian Tools cutter with a guide bearing to follow the template, raising it a couple of mm at a time - this means more passes but I've found it leaves a better finish.
Once the shape was done, I decided to swap to a round-over bit and smooth out the edges on the back of the body. I'd have to do it anyway, and while I've got the router table setup might as well get it done. I'l be adding a comfort carve to the back and a bevel around the top; there's not enough to do a full re-carve but we can give it some shape to show the figure and veneers.
I'm waiting for templates for routing the Floyd, so once that's done and the pickups are routed I'l be able to mark out where I want the carves to go.
