In this video i go over the trials and tribulations to upgrade a Rovan 450 XLT so it can handle big bore engines. Also applies to King motors and 30 Degree North Losi 5ive T 1.0 copies.
Thanks Dave, i tossed a sub your way and check out the video i put up this past weekend where i finished it up and test fired it. Hopefully this weekend i can run it with some video, including pov from the integrated gopro mount. Thanks for subscribing and checking in
Hey House T, thanks for the comments and sub(sent one back to you). I have a whole bunch of videos planned so stay tuned. I've only been doing this a couple of months so i'm still trying to figure out how to best do the videos and i so much appreciate getting comments and feedback from viewers. Thanks for your input and checking out the channel.
Thanks buddy, i just went and checked out your channel and you got a new subscriber as well. You have some great content! Now time for me to go check out and "like" your videos. Thanks sir
Quality video! it makes sense to buy a 5ive t 2.0 and swap the rovan chassis, arms and center braces to avoid all the quality issues. Almost pulled the plug on a 30 degree north 2.0 but their really is a difference. Great video! Man you have all the tools and skills to fabricate every piece you purchased. 👍
Thanks buddy. The Rovan's do have their issues but i still like them, there is always a trade off somewhere. Thanks for your input and checking out the video.
@@alterdcustomrc4512 Thanks buddy, i really appreciate that. The next few months will probably be more run videos then when fall hits i will go back to build mode. Two projects in the works are a BAJA or clone into a full on tracked snowmobile with a single cyl big bore or OBR twin. The other is a short course truck with a hand fabricated chassis built around a single cyl big bore and 5ive t aftermarket diff parts. The tube chassis will replace the chassis plate. I will need to make custom piston/valve stack for the shocks. I really do appreciate your input and i can see from your channel that i now no where to go for an expert in electric versions.
@@RCWalletVacuum projects for days. Looking forward to seeing them in action on that track you building! Electric is a blast. I bent the chassis on the dbxl and the driveshafts. I have a vitivon chassis and new motor setup going in posiden 2240 880kv. I also just purchased the wheelman kraken vekka 5 electric conversion. Gonna put that kit together. Should be wild and also doing a Taylor rc 5ive t electric and a stock one gas because nothing beats that noise. 🙏❤️
id say with that kind of power those taylor diff housings will def buy you some time on those stock diffs ,,,,,lots of times stripped diffs are due to plastic flexing under load
Hi Shadetree RC, i'm sure the stock pinion gears will need to be replaced as well but it will be a test to see what it can take. Thanks for checking in
