Lol I have the same green water bottle. Ok so I want a full comparison to the MTXL. Because as of right now I have no plans to buy that truck because I have the MTXL.
Absolutely brother the faster you seat the ring the better off you are!! Love 2 strokes because they love to run hard! Haha! Got me a new KTM 300 wow bro its very very mean!
Im here to help others bro! Im gonna share my knowledge and my experience from a tested tried n true standpoint. I dont know it all by any means I just have a real passion for everything that I do.
Awesome Everett! I hope you enjoy it and have fun with it. Go over it really well! I took mine entirely apart and redid the whole thing. With to much billet 🤣.
Great video brother!!! I have the blue version. I just tore it apart to do all the diffs. The grease is garbage, I recommend changing it. Also port matched the header, runs much better now !!
Great job bro and thanks for the comment! It’s important to go through the car and do it up your way! I feel they are only put together to let you know how it goes together. I personally love to take the entire thing apart and clean each piece and all the screws and use all my fluids n greases and reassemble the whole works! The end result is tank after tank fun without a bunch of headaches! So you’re a smart man by redoing them diffs! And good mechanic knows Chinese grease sucks!!!
Nice video can't wait to see you run it I bought this truck when it first came out didn't get a chance to fully break it in because I wrecked it having a hard time finding the parts to fix it I'll stay tuned thanks for the info👌👍👊💪✌
Well Im sorry to hear that bro! Tell me whats broken maybe I can help you out! I directly support but not sponsored by Rovan RC. We dont like anyone unhappy and accidents happen brother! Tell me what ya need and Ill see what I can do for ya!
I love the silicone I mainly use two different types I use the red fur obviously sealing up the exhaust and stings on the engine and I mainly use the gray silicone for nuts and bolts on the body it holds it in there tight without being permanent unlike threadlock yeah the blue isn't permanent but if you put too much on there it's really hard to get off and I have found that silicone is a little easier
You are so correct brother. And the Permatex Ultra Black works even better for exhausts. Im switching to that once this tube of JB weld silicone is used up. No sense in wasting good product. Its funny it looks like I have a lot but really Im quite conservative. Its just this hobby its costly no matter which route you take you know. The Rcmax, ALX way or the traditional RC way using power equipment either way its costly so silicon is a great way to save a buck! Thanks for watching and the great comment Ryan! 🇺🇸🤝
Oh yes brother 😁😁😁 Those trucks are awesome 👍🏻 So many billet upgrades from stock. Drive train is what the MTXL should have been. 🤷🏻♂️ I would have maybe ordered one one if I didn't spend so much 💵💰💵💰 on my MTXL project 🤣 Very nice! take care brother 🤝🏻
Well brother Allen you could always use another 🤣🤣🤣😂! Love your MTXL Build Im following its looking great and glad you are getting issues sorted out! 🤝🤝🤝 God Bless brother and I hope you and your family have a blessed Sunday!
Yup clean it and reapply its no big deal at all. But you can use a gasket too , you just have to trim it if it goes into the air path if you are worried about squeezing out all of the engines power , but it wont hurt a thing to just slap a gasket and go!
Well Big John you are a wrencher! And you LOOOOVE BILLET! So I highly recommend it just get it tight n right! Enjoy the total ease of being able to get to everything and all the heavy duty parts! With your greases n oils it will be a much more fun! Its a beautiful truck I cant stop looking at it
@@eastsiderc Yea I love the 5ive platforms and that baby looks sickk !! Yes definitely line upgrades !! And a pipe !! And the lush pull !! But man 🔥👍🏼👊🏼👊🏼
I agree with your break-in advice, seat it and have fun! This is what your going to be doing, hight revs and abusing that engine! Sooo…. Seat it for its purpose !!!
So other then the pull start handle ... are you telling me that rig comes with that much billet goodies stock out of the box? GTFO!! That thing is B-E-A-UTIFUL! oh and also ... are you in a Hobbie Store there? Or is that YOUR GARAGE! Holy Bajesus! You lucky bugger! My jaw dropped every 15 seconds in this video! Straight up Awesome brah!
Thanks bro! Thats my man room and Ive been in the hobby for a long time so Ive got a lot of hard work in these things. But yes other than the handle and the billet steering set up thats how the truck comes stock!
Thanks brother! Well Permatex Ultra Black is what I would recommend but here Im using up the last of my JB weld 100% high temp silicone. I got a tube of Permatex waiting! I totally forgot to mention the types of silicone I like to use! Oops 😬
Love this rig, but not a fan of aluminum A arms for the way I bash, does anyone make plastic ones to the right length and compatibility? Do you think the 7075 quality from 30 Degree N is greater or less than the strength/quality of this one on the Rovan?
Well I understand brother. The 7075 ones are decent but will not provide the sacrificial weight loss like plastic. The 30 degree north arms might fit it but Im not hundred percent sure on that . The XLT is a wide one. I went totally overboard with mine and dont even use it 😆😂 its just a 46 pound all aluminum shelf queen, but I like looking it at and tinkering with it from time to time. It would have to get a taylor in before Id use it because its a TANK!!
@@eastsiderc got ya. can you measure the arm length on the 450 vs the 30N/5ive T for me? I get the whole glamor builds thing, I really like tweeking mine, but I need to be able to send them at any moment or I'd find myself justifying selling it. God bless
I've done that several times. And getting nowhere. I feel the car has more potential with a better pipe but I've waited long enough time to sell", don't get me wrong it's a really nicer car but a pipe it's needed. Thanks
Hi EastSide RC i got a little question for you about RC cars. I wanna build my own RC car myself from the ground up, i already have a gas Baja B5 buggy and i really love it. I am thinking about building up a electric Baja B5 but i am not sure !!! i kind of like gas version because it feel its more reliable, simple and not as costly if i do crash. I know its hard for you to tell me what would be the best choise, but what do you think !!! do you like gas better or do you think i should go for the electric so i have one of each !!! anyway i just wanna say thank you for great content 😊 greetings from Søren.
Im going to give you my honest opinion. I like and prefer gas for many reasons. To name a few you can get a 2s lipo for the receiver and run for 4 hours nonstop. Electric 25-30 mins wait for 2+ hours for the batteries to charge unless you wan buy more which is the cost of a complete 32 cc Zenoah engine. Electric cars can burst into flames if you forget to set battery thresholds. The motors get really hot from high speed runs and you gotta wait for it to cool down , gas just keep ripping wide open. Electric ya cant hear it which gives me no sensory effect. Gas you can tune the engines , add all kinds of mods and its way way more technical than a plug n play electric. Gas involves a lot more skill and technicalities I appreciate that side of the brapp rc hobby! I love two strokes and the sounds they make. Electric is cool for me for about 5 mins and Im board no matter how powerful because I cant hear it . 🤣🤣 I need to hear my rcs make noises other than gear sounds!! So thats my take on it brother! Maybe it will help you decide!
@@eastsiderc Thank you so much, you already confirmed my feelings, also i like to know everything about the gas version so i know how to set it up right and continue to learn. I love the sound as you do and there is just something about it that i really like. I am pretty new to the hobby and it have taken me by storm. I wanna know and learn the gas car and just focus on this version so i really get to know all the details... Again thanks for the response you are super helpfull and have guided me to the best choise. Have a wonderfull day, bless you brother, greetings from Denmark... ☺
This in the vid was JB weld 100% Pure High Temp silicone. But what works even better is Permatex Ultra Black. I recommend that brand! Thank you for watching!
