The Rovan 71cc has the same issue. What I do is machine the back of the clutch shoe holder, but I do use the fan type holder, but it's machine for more clearance and you can put the engine seal in the correct place ,not against the crank bearing which cause drag, Taylor makes the perfect clutch housing to 32cc to rovan 71cc, it's more open for cooling and it will fit 62mm clutch!. Yes I can see that taper problem, common rovan problem that you have to watch out for. Keep up the good.

I got a Rove in 45 XLT after my best friend passed away his son gave it to me. The truck maybe had three tanks at the most ran through it. We couldn't find the receiver so I bought a new one paired it up put it on the stand fired it up and as soon as it's running the clutches stuck engaged. Luckily a guy off the Facebook Rovan XLT site sent me a brand new clutch kit for free. I've never worked on one of these I've only messed with the brushless so I'm a little hesitant because there is no videos on the best way to do this and I'm hoping that the clutches just shot or gummed up from sitting either way I have the brand new clutch kit any pointers. Someone said to pull the motor there's four bolts
Hey bro, I have plenty of videos on how to take that clutch apart. I have a specific Roven 45 video of what to do with that clutch one of my recent 45 videos shows just how I take it off and put it back on. I hope that helps you brother.
Your stuff is so much cleaner than mine 😮 ! I was watching some videos and being a service tech for the last 40 years my question is tools. Being the Jesse James of bajas can you do a video just on your tools? Like mostly the specific ones just for baja. Tools most guys wouldn't think to get. Well thanks Matt I appreciate that bro! I can certainly do a video on my tools. 🛠️ I dont recall ever doing one so I certainly can. And if my stuff is all dirty I usually always clean it first then work on the car . This car here I not long ago tore it fully apart and cleaned the heck out of it and changed some parts. Its only been down my gravel road twice and through my yard since its full rebuild so its barely dusty at the moment.

Thanks for the info, I’ve been watching all of your stuff, when you said the xlt450 was the best 1/5th platform it got me looking into the rovan 45cc. I’m honestly at a toss up between wanting the rovan Rf5 rally, the xlt 450, the LT450, or just a 30 DNT.

Nobody here in the US has the dirty 30 with that 38cc in stock or a roller version. How is that 29cc motor, any good? My choices are the stock truck with a 29 or get a roller from the UK and get the 38 separate. Let me know , it’s my first truck and I’d rather be happy in the long run. I know the stock pipe sucks, so whatever motor I get the stock pipe is going away.
Hi ! All those who have Rovan Baja 45cc, the buggy comes with differential oil, shock absorber and air filter. Is the buggy delivered without oil inside the differential and shock absorbers? Or Is this for the Mechanical overhaul later? Thank you !!
Yes but its garbage and should be changed! The diff is junk the gears are good the case is trash. First thing I do with new bajas is take them all apart and build them right! The chinese use all the wrong fluids , loctite , no loctite the most consistent thing with Chinese stuff is the inconsistencies so just go over it really good. Dont use any of the oils that come with the car , they are no good or too thin. I throw all that away lol.
@@eastsiderc Exactly lol ! They better sell them as a kit, yes I find that the oil is very fluid. What grade should be put for suspension (300, 500, 650, etc.)??
