Great video. Good tips. Even some of us that know , it's nice to go back over them. Because it's easy to get blind with frustration from a bad starting RC day
Yessir Tom more to come with this car!! Then a super conversion! I almost hate to convert it. The tires hook when heated and it seems like its going to be a blast in the school lot!
Well thank ya bro I appreciate it. You can get that stand at DDM, AXIS RC the makers , and Detroit Performance RC it will last you forever I highly highly recommend. They are 550 I believe
I have a question and it is is the 32 cc crank case the same size as a 35 cc current case Roven engine. because I’m wanting to build me a affordable engine from scratch I think it would be fun. I know it would probably cost a little more to do it that way than just buying one as a short block, but what I am wanting to do is buy a 32 crank case put a 30 mm stroke crankshaft in it with a 38 mm piston and the research I have did the stroke and piston size will make a 35 cc at least that’s what I get from it. I’m just doing this for fun because I like to tinker.
The idle is set! Cranking it in anymore will simulate a vacuum leak and it will never run nice n clean. The engine has a dual ring dragging the engine down. It will idle much better once I remove that ring. None of my engines idle all day long because I dont tune to run like a weed eater I tune for optimal performance.
Hello, I have a question. I have a new 10k clutch on my KM 30.5 Rovan Baja and I noticed everytime for the first few minutes after being started it rips really nice off the line but then like after 15 minutes of driving it's not launching as hard as it did when it was first started. It almost seems as if it's clutching out. I checked the bell and clutch after running it and they look ok, any idea what the issue could be?......T.I.A 👍
Yea that would be your engines tune. As it got hot it was wanting more fuel so it started to run leaner once warmed up thus loosing power! This is why its important to listen to your idle , if it gets faster after runs and warmed up , its too lean and is asking for more fuel. So fatten her brother ! Always tune from the low needle to the high needle dont go backwards like some say, you will never get it optimal. Any more questions feel free to ask!
Yeah the fuel was blue bro the Sunoco 112 leaded is blue but but I used Castor 927 as I do for the first five tanks to beat n seat that ring to the cylinder! Then I switch to my Saber (blue goodness)
Because the idle is set , if you cank it in further it opens rhe second orifice inside the carb simulating a vacuum leak. You will never ever get an optimal tune that way. The engine is brand new it will change and the tune will too , when I take the lower ring off it will shine ✨
