Also to note Rowan turns cards like dark petition, final parting, entomb and gamble into one card wins with minimal mana investment, just flashback past in flames. Or get a hording broodlord and fetch then convoke the saw in half.
One final note rowan turns cards like moment of craving into ancestral recall and cards like pirates plunder generate you card selection while acting as a ritual.
Really like that you made a newer deck tech. It dont quite understand your intented power level. You have many of the elements of cEDH but u are running next to no interaction and ad naus in a list that doesnt support a deep naus. While also running expensive haste enablers but avoiding a cards like Crimson Wisps and Claim the First borne
I built Rowan with the idea that tapping her once would be enough. If untapping proves to be better I'll modify the list. I do periodically change these lists.
Then cut need for speed, thousand year elixir, and mass hysterica. Add Crimson Wisps and Lava Spur boots. This keeps the 1cmc haste effects. But u give nothing to ur opponents.
Cut ad naus for Broodlord. Update ur mana base to bleed urself 1-3 life for free. Bloodgod is a 3pip card that could easily be inspired tinkering or actual interaction. Villas is too slow for Rowan. Again ur life loss is easier to do with lands and a 1 or 2 cmc card.
If u enjoy those cards then remove the cEDH elements from the list. As is, it appears that this list is designed to pubstomp casual tables on t3. This ^^^ is why I asked ur intention of power level. If it's Cedh, than it needs to be far more optimized. If it's casual/high-power then there is far too many cEDH elements that should not be ran. (I don't care about the $$$)
You would think Rowan would want haste but she only costs 3, and can cheat her out turn two pretty reliably. Trying to get rowan out, give her haste and get a good cost reduction activation leaves you very little colored pips to use with payoffs.
Haste is more for the what if situations were you are late in the game and rowan died once or twice, you want to get her out activate her and win that sequence.
Rowan sees the total life loss per turn. So if lose 4 life. Tap rowan; reduction = 4. Then you untap her. Lose 3 life. Tap Rowan. Reduction = 7 601.2f **The player determines the total cost of the spell. Usually this is just the mana cost. Some spells have additional or alternative costs. Some effects may increase or reduce the cost to pay, or may provide other alternative costs. Costs may include paying mana, tapping permanents, sacrificing permanents, discarding cards, and so on. * The total cost is the mana cost or alternative cost (as determined in rule 601.2b), plus all additional costs and cost increases, and **minus all cost reductions**. If multiple cost reductions apply, the player may apply them in any order. * If the mana component of the total cost is reduced to nothing by cost reduction effects, it is considered to be {0}. It can’t be reduced to less than {0}. * Once the total cost is determined, any effects that directly affect the total cost are applied. Then the resulting total cost becomes **“locked in.”** If effects would change the total cost after this time, they have no effect.
