Rowdy Roddy Piper stopped by the Electric Morning Show on Classic hits 92.9 WBPM-FM and told Jack Hammer and Andre this awesome wrestling story! Thank you Hot Rod for the visit!
I am sitting here laughing my ass off & I am almost a second away from falling out my couch. I swear to god, he should've done a comedy show while he was around. It would've been a hit.
Piper mentions Jay (The Alaskan) York - York was briefly the percussion player for Delaney & Bonnie in the early '70s. He replaced Sam Clayton when Sam left to join Little Feat in 1973. He returned to wrestling a couple years later.
Sorry! But I found Steve Corino's story on one of the Iron Sheik's promos and Jim Cornette's experience at a Dairy Queen drive thru in 1994 much funnier than this. I thought Roddy Piper was funnier when he used to taunt the wrestlers during interviews in his early years as a wrestler.
