Once I heard a hyena laugh I thought it was me. Once I saw someone watching a documentary about the animals of Africa. Then I realized I laugh like a freaking hyena.

The strange part is how it’s how mouth doesn’t really move at all when it makes noise and it’s just coming from its vocal chords

A minor correction to everyone saying Hyena's laugh only when stressed. They laugh when experiencing any form of arousal, which can be stress sure, but also excitement, anticipation, pain, fear, or anger/agression. In this case the laugh may merely be anticipation about receiving food. (although stress could certainly also be an option). I don't see any real signs of fear, she's not cowering, nor taking an agressive/defensive pose (so no agression either), nor running away. If anything she is rather excitedly running along the fence, which makes me suspect the food is making her excited. Edit: well, seems like a lot of people liked this. I'm happy you enjoyed this animal trivia!
