My Girl "Mondee Oliver" Sister/Friend, I Knew In Chicago. I Spent alot of time with My Girl. Not only could She Sang! She was Breathtakingly Beautiful! And Vocally this "Roy Ayers" Collaboration...Is just the "Tip of The Iceberg" of what She could do with her Voice! The Control ,The Range, The Colors! I use to Love to hear Her Sing "Aretha" songs. We would just be hanging out...and I would ask her on The Spot to Sing for me, and without hesitation She would Slay it! Yes She had The Gift Like That! She was Bad! Rest In Heavenly Peace, Queen! 👑🌟💫💖💐💝
The best disco track of the late 70s. Danced to this like crazy. Got the nickname Dont Stop. Still struggling to explain how i landed this nickname to my children. They cant believe i was a great dancer during my time
This was my DRIVING MUSIC! I must have traveled over 1000 miles on this song. 8 track! Back when you could replay the intro like 10 times to wake up....
I was 13 when I first heard this tune I think I heard it on Greg Edward's( A Fellow Grenadian) Soul Spectrum ...Many years later I heard it in a club...I ran to that damn dance floor and danced my ass off...Killer Floor Banger...Still sounds amazing.
@@charlieo3150 even now, the 28-th of March, 2024. Да, я, наверное, где-то в душе черный) потому что любовь к фанку, а особенно к джазу у меня сильна, как у единиц в стране. А танцевальный jazzy-house - это нечто высшее!
I remember him performing this on SOUL TRAIN when I was kid but this was always funky jjam they used to blast in the projects back when they used to put their speakers in the windows dudes was battling to see who had the loudest systems ah the good ol days
@@loosestudios Thanks so much for the information. This is one of our best dance tunes ever, everything about this tune is quality. Paul trouble Anderson was my closest friend, we grew up together, when we danced to this it was out of this world, we dropped so many different moves to it and today it sounds just as good as in the late 70s.Thanks.
Don’t Stop The Feeling is my favorite Roy Ayers song. I love to listen to it when I going on beach trips. Now, I got the song on vinyl and I’ll listen to it anytime!!!!!

What a groove, came out my senior year of high school. Still can't stop the funky feeling. Life was simple and good. Don't stop the feeling, keep it groovin old school style.
This is just straight classsick music, everything from the beat to the lyrics. Old school music just keeps rockin no matter where,no matter what time. Don't stop the feeling and keep it groovin !!! Real talk.

I first heard this song in Dc. The Club house was lit wow I was transported back to my youthful 20s hearing this classic. Sexy song dancing too back then.
How blessed were we? Only now do we realize what is missed . We are blessed with the memories. Thank you for what you gave, and for what You give dear Lord ! (Sigh)
Man, this song takes me way back! You were raised wrong if you’ve never felt this one or you want it to stop now. Too late. It’s for real and nothing can stop it; not even COVID-One-Niner!
Sarah Watson I did security for one of his concerts years back in S. Beach. He's truly down to earth and beyond talented. Grew up listening and playing his material over and over through the years. Thanks for your contribution Mr. Ayers.
Great call and post, Roy Ayers, Summer music and general positive stuff all round. Thanks for posting this proper classic. Screw covid, we will prevail. If its the British traditional summer - turn it up, keep dancing and bring an umbrella. All night.. We will be trying that this weekend. Night from a madhouse.
I was just a shade too young to be exposed to this groovy beat. But ❤ full awereness, it's riveting vibrations and I ain't gonna stop what I like/ ❤ to the feeling 🎶🕺💃🎵💞❤️🎊🔥🔥💥🧨💋
*Duck face groove lips* or *white guy overbite groove face* Straight funky... there's nothing that makes you appreciate a song that you haven't heard in a long time is when you're in a public spot, I was in Old Navy one day and this came on and just so be it they had the volume up a little louder than normal and I was lost in the groove, I danced from one spot to another, I was in my own world, unfortunately no one else was feeling nor understanding that a classic was jammin'... damn near bought $150 dollaz worth of gear lol... then got to the Jeep and pulled it up on my Zune(MP3)... put it on repeat, put the top down, volume on ahhh sh!t and called it a day.
From the age of 5 he was playing boogie woogie tunes on the piano, then destiny as a vibraphonist was by his parents’ decision to allow him attend a concert featuring the great Lionel Hampton’s Big Band, where Lionel met & gave the young Roy Ayers Jr. the gift of a lifetime a pair of vibe mallets, the rest is history
Man it's the 4th of July 2021 in Baltimore City u dig and Iam still groovin 7:00a.m. in the morning 🌅 to Roy Ayers God 🙏 bless for music 🎵🎶 like this 💃🕺
