There will never be another Roy Orbison. He sung from his soul and that range in his voice has never, nor will be ever matched. He had a style of his own and that's what made him unique and much loved by his audience and colleagues...... a true legend 🎙🎶🎸❤

@@raptor1672 I had to look up Bill Medley and yes I recognized his songs once I saw him. Maybe in my country we heard more of Roy. I hate to make a judgement as each to their own when it comes to taste in music. I think Bill Medley is good but to me more a crooner type singer in most cases where Roy Orbison had a massive adaptability range to whatever song he sang. To be honest I don't know enough about Bill to comment. I'm only going off the little knowledge I know. However you are entitled to prefer who you want. Like I said, music is an individual taste to all who love music. We all agree to disagree somewhere along the line with whatever song or whomever has our listening preference 🤔😁😉

Strange growing up in West Texas on a farm ,I knew not of him at that time, his time. I was a avid Buddy Holley fan. Many such greats were just rising to stardom in the 50s and early 60s. KOMA Oklahoma was the station to listen to. And what was the name of that crazy DJ in Lubbock that played a gitfiddle and sang in between playing records?

Gee, that octave he hits, then it's not really hard on falsetto is it? Just totally unique, amazing control and he can stay up there. I always thought he had a Texan accent, with a little southern Elvis thrown in for good measure. Had to Google, born in Texas. His voice, to me, I hear it, it's the late 50s, 60s. I have no idea why, he spanned so many decades. Miss him, his voice, his music, may he RIP.
