I remember when Wills was born and Charles was standing outside the hospital SOOO elated and excited about his first child. A girl came up and gave Charles a kiss on the cheek and left a big lipstick smudge and Charles just stood there grinning so happy and in love with Diana and their baby Wills. and now hes a Grandad.

I just adore Kate but it must be a pain for everyone to compare her to the ever so humble Princess Diana. I'm sure she wants to pave her own way, not just re-create another one. Princess Di will forever live on and congrats to Kate!

Actually, Meghan sure can't be compared to Diana:: look Meghan already had 2 marriages. I say Meghan used Diana as a deceptive manipulation on Harry- but I disagree with you about Kate-- you do not know if Kate and Will were having sex those 8 years. A lot of people room mate and do not have sex until they are married. And even if they did-- as long as Kate was a virgin when she had sex with Will she was still his "virgin". Does anybody think that someone at that age as Charles was around his first marriage needed to listen to mummy or didn't know that he had two brothers if he really wanted to marry a women not 'fit' for the throne? Elisabeth's uncle made a choice, a choice of the heart in order to marry a twice divorced woman! I don't think he's man enough to reign, even still ... There's no prosthetic for a weak character.
Princess Diana should be named People's Princess and still one of the most Popular from Royal Family that did not cared for any Royal Protocols and rubbish alike. Whether Kate will be in same league, remains very much under doubt. And world also does not need another Diana.
Also, I think that generally speaking Americans seem to have a much less skeptical and negative attitude towards most things than we do here in the UK. I think that says more about the average Brit than it does you guys.
