It's amazing what you can smell riding a bike! In Florida when the orange 🍊🧡 blossom are in bloom we have the sweetest smelling air on earth 🌎 .

There's some great lanes around the Welshpool / Oswestry area. I moved here 5 years ago and still discovering new places on my RE Signals in the area.

Bravo for getting out on the bike with a bad back! 👍 Some of those hills look as if they could be frightening in wintry weather. The cottage looks great with it's ancient timbers.

Sorry to hear that your back's crook again, Ian; I hope you recover soon. You can keep the cold weather, thanks. Last Saturday the ambient temp readout on my car was reading 45C, which is getting a bit warm! Today is a much more reasonable 28C. That cottage looks like a lovely place to stay!

We used to love our days biking in that part of Wales, and really do miss it, thanks Ian, Panda also has the glass back syndrome, so has not ridden bikes for a while, but, seeing you braving the pain barrier, she says she may take the Speedfight out for a trot tomorrow, but not a "proper bike"! Well, small steps are the way, maybe, we have had 21c over here today, so quite pleasant, I went out on a bike and got a sweat on! Cheers, DINO, PANDA, and Furry Boys.

Nice trundle around the lanes Ian , glad your back is improving and you're scan is positive, be careful with your footing on the slippery surface don't put your back out again! I'll be down Wales in February for The Bruce Pollard rally at The Giler Arms pub and campsite at Rhydlydan , it's a great little rally. Great roads down there and the scenery is beautiful even in winter and the mountains look even more impressive with a bit of snow on them 🙌 Cheers, all the best, Mel 🍻

You should have a good old fashioned set of crashbars to protect your motorcycle 🏍️. I run crash bars on all my motorcycles. They also fit the era .

In the old days if you put a sidecar on your bike in the winter ☃️❄️ you got a discount on your insurance because they're was less of a chance you would fall down and go boom 💥🤯. Of course that would make your bike even more slow than it is now. My Siberian made URAL laughs at what they call winter ☃️❄️ on the west. Firestone used to make snow ❄️ tires for motorcycles in the old days. People were tough in those days.

Hi Ian hope the back is getting better I know how your suffering , been their had a disc out years ago but it's never been 100% since but regular treatment has kept it reasonably ok .There's been quite a lot made of the 20mph business in Wales but really it's no different from anywhere else in the UK . These limits are springing up all over really and before long it's going to be the norm and be accepted , is it overkill well to me not in many cases and really in a lot of places your lucky to hit 20mph 😉.I agree it's not an easy /natural speed to travel at but it will end up being a habit we get used to like many things .Fabulous looking area Ian and good to see you out , also great news about the scan too ! always a relief when those results come in superb 👌👍

Just a bit of advice from a back/neck suffering biker yoga at home for 5-10 minutes in the morning get a cheap mat from the likes of ikea mine is pink😂 but do a few different stretches and you’ll find the back won’t bite u unexpectedly. I just need to find a leotard to fit my belly in

When my back is playing up I do kettlebell swings. They are ballistic I think so pull my back into line. However my problem is the upper back cervical area.

That's a lot of video to catch up on, put your feet up and sort out the back then watch all those vids you have missed.

Thanks Ian, it was nice to be back in Wales for a few minutes, and thanks also for the mention. How do you manage to get so many sunny days in Wales, or is that privileged information? People watching their speedometers too much will be all the excuse needed to control vehicles using AI as life becomes more and more joyless for our descendants.
