NMW racing in india is also providing big bore + quad spark kit for this bike. They also have big bore + stroker kit for the last gen KTM 390's. However, revelry racing's 40mm throttle body is the best.
Hii i have a GT650 can you tell me is there is a power difference ? Gain in weight ? can it do power wheelie ? Power increase in low end or top end ? increase in topspeed ?
Hi Mate. there is a really, really big power difference to the normal 650. It would probably gain some weight but that should not be an issue. There is both a power increase in low end and top end and also in topspeed. Power wheelies. I don't think so.
Very good, great sound to the Enfield. There’s a company called Hitchcocks in England doing a 850cc kit for them, new barrels and pistons. The Enfield 650 can easily cope with the extra power. They are well built engines.
The Enfield 650s are 863cc with the 90mm pistons. Triumphs have a minutely longer stroke which IS 865cc...a moot point but let's give the proper designation after doing the work. The 83.5mm pistons yield 743cc (a "750") and after almost 5,000 miles this Summer I can attest that there is no added vibration; the pistons are lighter and the entire package is running cool, no leaks and no need to replace the clutch. As for cost, I spent $1,100 including the machine shop charge and S&S cam; did all the labor myself.
I did the 863cc conversion with the S&S stage one cam and the Rekluse clutch kit (did the free flowing air filter a few years ago, and have a SS moto two into one from India and a Powetronic. Also a 16 tooth gearbox sprocket up from 15. It really does go very well now, no idea what the top speed is as I use it more for A and B road blasting. Will be better when I get a proper map from powertronic, at the moment I've just blanket fiddled with the fuelling via the powertronic application. I also fitted some YSS suspension to better cope with the awful roads here in England and just about squeezed a LED bulb in the headlamp. Loads of money but now very good fun to ride - it pulls as well in top as it used to in fourth.. Increased vibration (enough to blur the mirrors) is noticeable and it's harder to start - (partly the higher compression ratio but largely I suspect because the fuelling isn't right yet). No overheating despite the complete loss of the lower oil cooling drain gallery. I did the engine work myself - hardest part is undoing the bloody fuel connection from the injector rail. @@frederickwoods5943
