Hats off to Sidharth Lal for reviving an almost dead brand, not only in India but world over... Royal Enfield is everywhere now....✌️👌👍

What I like about RE is they hold on to their tech for a long long time and don’t upgrade yearly..which means eventually you do settle down to a maintenance schedule and bikes hold value...rather than get outdated yearly. Also it translates to easily available spares.

No bike review is complete without hearing the exhaust note.

Saw a 650 pre production bike out testing in the UK and was really impressed looked fantastic!

I rode one last Saturday an Manhattan Motorcycles here in Sheffield and it was indeed really nice to ride.

The more annoyed I get with unwanted tech on bikes the more these types of bikes appeal to me.

Love the black/gold GT but not the thin seat. Round town which is where I'd do the majority of my riding, the Interceptor would be the best choice.

There is ONE single thing which I'd change if I got that exact Orange Crush Interceptor Michael rides here: the rear shocks are not in keeping with the rest of that beauty. That's it. I LOVE that bike!!

For someone who loves simplicity I feel this is the type of bike Norton should make as well.

My favorite bike and sususupre style of the bike

I had my looks on the CB1100 and the Thruxton, a little bit on the Z900 also. The Interceptor looks like a great alternative to these but I'm not sure how it will compete in the real world. The other bikes have twice as much power, refined engines and a little bit more daily riding tech. I'll wait.

These bikes would have been a great in 1960's! Now, it's a cool retro bike.

I have a 2018 bullet with efi and abs. First bike with abs and I can say... On a road bike it's a good thing. For an adventure bike fughettaboutit. Efi seems solid so far but I'll probably convert to a carb just to mess with the exhaust in the future

I wish Mr. Lai good luck with his new bikes. OK, they are sort of retro classics, which is fine but it would be nice to see at least one of these famous old British motorcycle companies ... Norton, Triumph, BSA etc produce a modern or maybe even futuristic design. Britain once led the world in that department. I am still waiting ...

In the initial stage, if RE cut down the price a little bit more, they'd be able to sell more of these internationally and thus, penetrate deeper in those markets. They'd then create a strong RE culture and gain a wider brand recognition pretty quickly.

I hope these two are better than those 350 and 500cc single cylinder ones cause the quality is really bad on the single cylinder ones.

I have one of the Interceptor 650. The absence of alloy wheels, even as an option, hurts. In India, it is very dangerous to drive on tubed tires and very inconvenient if any gets flat. It deflates in 2 seconds. It is a wonderful bike and RE deserves an award for being able to offer it in India to millions at a price and proximity which otherwise will remain a dream for them. The quality of material and parts is top-notch. The handle could be a bit higher (I get my hands numb after an hour of riding), The suspensions are very stiff for perpetual potholes that we have on the Indian roads and the seat will numb your bummies in less than 40 minutes. So the seat must evolve. Otherwise, in all other regards, it IS a Wonderful bike.

..1960's, jazz, polka dots, Marilyn Monroe, wayfarer, Bonnivelle was eye candy... I love '60s styling of this bike, the sculpted engine look, no digital wizardry. While it's not trying to join the already crowded market of super sports or cruiser, it is a bike which I can ride and enjoy anytime . Commute, tour ...it's simple.

Just now, had to research "oil-cooled" per bike motors. Results- great! More 'cooling' assistance. But, is it really "great?" I have no clue.

Looks like a great bike but should have an 850cc, think about the 1970s Norton 850 twins, when they do that I'll buy one

It’s a really good bike , after my test ride I could tell Royal Enfield has done a really good job. Nice product , value for money. Alloys and tubeless tyres would have been better.

Hi have BS6 Royal Enfeild Interceptor 650. Front suspension Rubber seal makes noise even on small even roads. Please advise is it common in UK..?

Seat looks thin, a tad hard on the arse I suspect, still it looks quite nice. Would have been a better review with less waffle ans more facts. MPH, MPG etc? How does it handle? Is the engine noise good for scaring old ladies and small kids?

I love the bike and would buy one in Australia , But they have one VERY BIG design fault 18 rear wheel ! tyre choice is limited for road tyres ( if you what to run off road tyres heaps of choices , but its not really designed for that ) The 18 front has a bit more choice as the Ducati Scrambler, some of the Triumph Boonville's have 18 fronts, not sure that there is to many ON ROAD bikes that run 18inch rear. So I cannot run my beloved Michelin P5,s , or Meltzer DN01 fronts. " VERY BAD REAR WHEEL SIZE CHOICE ROYAL ENFIELD "

I think the Kawasaki w650 is still the best of these modern 'vintage' 650s, but the brakes and suspension needs work to make it better. (and carb jets changing)

Price?

No sound because it will sound like a Honda CB250 due to silencing laws - maybe it was actually running but the sound couldnt be detected? All can be fixed with a set of Armours Peashooters......

The bike itself is great. The question is: is it reliable? Himalayan and Classic are not, so we need to find out how long those bikes will last.
