Royal Enfield SM 650. what a jewel in the Royal Enfield line up. here on Spain it is the pinnacle of Royal Enfields line up. But one thing spoils the whole experience. The suspension if anyone can point me into transforming this amazing mid size bike into a real diamond, hit me up in the comments.

Re-shaping and making the seats softer is something that I have done on three of my bikes. A reoccurring problem.😁😁

I was hoping that a sprung version would become available like the classic I'm sure that would be an option.

I am also loving my SM 650 also. I have the RE Bar End Mirrors (best thing I ever did for better vision and looks) and took the rear seat off and added a solo seat finisher rack. No luggage, I love the stripped back naked look. It has compromises though, as a commuter also I do hate the ruck sack on my back and understand why owners add luggage. The rear suspension, maybe because roads I ride in are quite good, I have no probs with them. Ergonomics... I think I need the bars pulled a little more forward. With the feet forward controls I seem to ride in a compromised position at my height 176cm. It doesn't feel like relaxed Cruiser position nor traditional ride position. So constantly adjusting my body. I have questioned if mid-mount controls for me would maybe make it perfect. For me. The bike however, build quality etc is perfect for my needs. The transmission is silky smooth and the 650 engine is more than enough for all the rides I do. A day out and ride to work. Being honest a second disc up front would be nice, however the rear break is probably the best on any bike I have ridden. Lovely bike. No regrets. If I can adjust the rider position just a bit, it will be close to perfect!

Hi thanks for the nice ride and comments. Proud owner of a Super Meteor myself for almost a year now and i must say i am still in love. I use it for everyday comute to work as well for short weekend trips and i thank her every night. I agree for suspension and i am in the search of a better one myself so i will be watching suggestions from other friends. I do agree with you thatvthe touring seat spoils the looks ,however wife was not confortable at all. So the first thing i have added was the back rest from Hepco and Becker (not earning anything at all from them just a suggestion). This back rest maintains the cool look of the bike and in my oppinion makes it even cooler. Wife is happy and i am too. I have also done one more upgreat . Changed the leather of the seats and made the seats anatomic and requesting a little bit wider back seat. All worked fine. Just some ideas.

Again guys I just upload without a set time to publish. Google are saying 1.5 hours for the 4 k version, pop back later to enjoy the landscape in 4k. Ride safe

Well, there is a Classic 650 coming later this year, might be what you're looking for. Alternatively you could get the mid mount footpegs from the new Shotgun 650, they look like they're a straight bolt on to the Super Meteor.

I'll wait for some after market mid mounts and a new set of rear shocks. The bike is a keeper. I love the looks, although I loved my 500 classic, it's 50s looks were a bit to retro if that makes sense. I grew up in the 70s and the the SM 650 fits my idea of a retro. Thanks for the comments

You should change the rear suspension and replace by "Shock Factory" suspension made for this bike, they are made in France near Lyon and they will totally change the experience in riding a Super Meteor 650 , everything becomes better , confort , breaking is better , sticking to the road , no more "guidonnage" on Motorways...
