Two points that everyone seems to be skipping over re: Harrys protection. He is demanding ARMED protection, and he also wants us to pay for this protection wherever he goes in the world. As a British tax payer I resent this greedy entitled demand, and I fear the backlash to the government, if this is granted, would be more than they expect. Of course he should get protection when he comes to the UK, as he does now, but expecting armed security for his world travels is something we wont accept.

The difference in my opinion is that the Princess of Wales is a nice woman. She was raised well and knew what she wanted, took her time to get to know William and made a conscious decision to marry him and be a part of his life. Whereas, Meghan is her polar opposite, and she went into that marriage to elevate herself from the aging former unsuccessful actress who was a nothing. That said, I think Meghan is and always has been about herself. You only have to look at how she treated her family, old friend, ex-husbands. When she has squeeze them dry and can get nothing else from them - she coldly moves on.

Whether he left UK of his own volition, or was kicked out, should not make a difference in whether he needs to have security paid for by the government. It should be based on his royal duties status, as in how much work he does on behalf of the monarchy = none It should be based on his level in line of succession = very low down with 5 in front of him (king charles, Prince William, and then 3 of William’s children) It should then be based on your threat level, in comparison to other royals/dignitaries = very low down, with probably zero actual threats made on him. As a non-working royal, who has a continuing history of bad mouthing the monarchy, over many many months, he has no need to actually come to the UK for any royal duties. He also has a ‘safe haven’ in Montecito, so does not need to come to the UK to escape from any threats he has received at his home. He can choose to come to the UK and utilise personally paid body guards, like anyone else can, or decide if he thinks it is so unsafe, to then, not come. Just like any other person who makes their own decisions on travel, and their perceived safety or danger.

If I were a Brit I would be very upset with this. The other day I read in one of the newspapers that people are using more pea spread over toast instead of avocados to cut cost. This is just one mild example but many people are struggling with living costs. Why should these people pay for H&M’s security under these circumstances? What have H&M done for these people? how on earth are people sympathetic about this with Harry? I think it's because the reporting is surface level: they didn't strip him of any security, that just downgraded it to the level of other celebrity figures with caveat that it can be upped if there is a real threat or if it's for a royal engagement- basically case to case basis. He is saying they were not fair because he failed to prepare his statement on time when they were deciding about it. His real goal is to get IPP status which he applied for and was denied due to not meeting qualifications and he is pushing this in order to meet a certain level of qualifications. Granting him ipp status would not just be a burden on taxpayers- wherever they stay- it would also grant him permission to see top level security info which is alarming considering he is courting the job as a consultant for US military.

There is a neat and simple solution . Harry leaving the RF is irrevokable so he should have the same terms that The Duke of Windsor who once eas King but abdicated . He could only return if invited to funerals . He came for his Brothers Funeral . His own and his wife was burried at Frogmore . He should accept that his presence in the UK is likely to cause problems and so visit his friends and family in countries that allow his security to carry guns .

I believe Meghan could not handle the Royal Family embracing Meghan's ethnicity, giving her specific roles and the choir at her wedding (which I understand was Charles' idea) as she had always associated with being white.
