With the obvious exception of 2020, I go down to RAF Fairford every year with my family. It is a truly stunning air show, mainly because of the massive international participation. One of my favourite memories was the USAF memorial flight ( I think that’s what you call them) which did a flyby with an F35 with a P51 Mustang on one wing and a Spitfire on the other. A very emotional moment! Do please come and join us one year, you will be most welcome.

I recall seeing the little Vampire jet on HMS Eagle (1951) and the large urns filled with tea and milk. Great! The Finnish Air Force has many of the hornet jets which were refueled crossing the Atlantic.
Dont see too many chinese fighters. :) 'Merica + Britain. The special relationship. The greeners must be crapping themselves the amount of kerosene that was burned that day.

Thanks to the ATC communication I watched through the documentary. Aircraft identification would have helped. Cameras at the lift off zone would have been lovely. Why did you not show the Russian Sukois/Migs taxing out? Really well coordinated and controlled by the ATC; crisp and clear instructions. Good going
I think I know why I love Jets taking off so much. In my early 5-7 years old I knew what I loved. (Other than girls.) Jet! Not planes so much Jet's! It's the sound...The vibration it makes when taking off. Right at the point when it makes that first crackling sound right after it lifts off and it hit's you. That's It! That vibration...like it knows me, I know it. I'm getting off the reservation here. (no offence my friends.) Some will know, some not.
