For a bod to have a Northern Ireland tour , Iraq tour and Afghan tour I joined 1995 - 2018 (22) Even before my time to also have a Falklands medal there was not many who where still in Add to that a UN tour all the jubilee medals and long service good conduct medal Very quickly the medals can stack up

And do you think the whole ‘future commando’ is a publicity/recruitment tool or do you think Royal Marines will be turning back time to truly fill the role of a commando ? The way they make it out is that our presence as a country will be a lot stronger across the globe.

How soon do you join a specialism after passing out of basic training? i.e how quickly could you begin the mountain leader course for example?

Cracking podcast lads, which specialisation is more focused towards being a high class soldier? Also I’m under the impression that within the new future commando force Royal Marines will be deploying in more countries on high readiness and increasing the UK’s commitment to NATO . Which specialisation would you personally feel would put you higher up on the list if a serious combat or emergency situation happened?

Are there any opportunities to do with aviation in the marines?
