Sailing home after mission success👍 Over 2,830 nautical miles, and an eight-day journey from New Zealand later - Royal New Zealand Navy’s HMNZS Aotearoa has successfully completed its first Antarctica resupply operation and is now heading home.
A combination of fuel, equipment, supplies and buildings were transported down to McMurdo Station to support the Antarctica New Zealand scientific research programme.

Interesting, but that was Brash Ice a few years back, it's already broken up & easily navigated. Pack Ice is exactly how it's described, packed and fused together with no joins. Continued packing creates Pressure Ridges...That's when the fun begins.. 😛

I hate to admit it, but the RNZN have built a replenishment vessel that is vastly superior to the two Spanish built replenishment vessels that the RAN have acquired. The Spanish built vessels are constructed to an ageing inferior design compared the the HMNZS New Zealand.

Great vid and wonderful ship. Personally i think the NZ navy should focus on logistics over combat. Id love to see your Anzacs replaced with updated Absalon class to give both logistics amd combat ability. Plus a replacment for Canterbury

As a kiwi, I think that you should be careful when in Antartica because of the rain and u know the freezing snow but it makes good for making snowmen and having snowball fights lol! Btw I was first to view the video I think

But you guys make good content and why don’t we have such a big military? Is it cuz the military here trains squads of elite soldiers mostly? And cuz we don’t have many resources u guys need to take my advice and get some more damn resources and make some light tanks and stuff for god sake like cmon Malaysia has 10 frigates the Philippines has 2 and we have 2 I’m not sure about uk but I know they have more than 2 frigates so uh yeah make some more ships btw when will the navy have a fleet strength of 16? Can you do it this year? 🥺🥺🥺🥺 but our allies like USA can give us stuff through merchant marine these countries are amazing and very strong (flags): 🇳🇿 (us) 🇺🇸🇬🇧🇲🇾

@@spikey2717 Actually we're a lot closer with ANZUS than we used to be. We're not part of the Quad, but that's because we are taking a middle of the road approach to China. But we're now being invited to RIMPAC, which we weren't before, 5 Eyes still remains the same, and we continue to work with and grow relationships with our regional partners. Our two biggest security threats are either illegal fishing fleets (like has happened in South America, but we play the middle of the road to avoid economic issues or those fleets) or joining our allies coalition in a conflict. Like, the strategic environment isn't as benign as it was a decade ago (mostly due to conflicts between our largest trading partner and our closest allies), but it's wrong to say we've got no friends. In fact, it's a potential fight between our friends/picking a side against our largest trading partner which is our issue.

Where are the human rights for everyone other than Uropean the women rights, where are religious rights, equality rights? Are all the rights restricted to Uropean lifes and their slaves if not then please bring or help bringing laws to protect every colour, religion, religious symbols and society with in your country ?
