It’s so nice that Cody is allowed to talk about his career outside of wwe. Being able to connect to him more as a wrestler. Acknowledging the fact that he never stopped wrestling and how his career path has been going. Can’t wait for his wrestlemania moment
it has a lot to do with the fact that hunter has taken over creative, and that this was posted by bt sports which have been known to mention other companies and wrestlers in their posts about wwe. like last year, they were the ones that got the whole jay white being a surprise entrant in the rumble going.
I always found it to be ridiculous that the WWE refused to talk about other promotions. It literally does no harm and only helps increase the value of X wrestler, seems like they're very slowly going into a direction of acknowledging other promotions in the last few years so it's definitely a step in the right direction.
From All In to WrestleMania. From Undesirable to undeniable. One more step to immortality, and achieving The American Dream just by fully embracing the nightmare. What a beautiful journey this has been❤️
@@FettsFrequency These same fans caused batista to never wanna return to wwe and batista is a legend and they will do the same with Cody Rhodes lol. How in God's green earth is Sami zayn gonna beat roman reigns lol.
@@imsayyam Difference is Daniel Bryan was booked strong against authority, randy orton and John Cena before he main evented wrestlemania 30,he had alot of momentum. Sami Zayn has zero momentum he never won a big fued in years except cutting good promos on the mic. Sami zayn never stepped a day in the gym in all of 2022 and I'm supposed to believe this guy will beat roman reigns lmfao.
Yeah I liked him since Aew he got much better like a homegrown Aew talent & now this is the perfect time for him to take roof of in wwe & get wwe championship
A company guy but in the best possible way, his love of pro wrestling (regardless of company) is so evident. Everyone wins when we don’t pretend that no other company exists, so glad Vince isn’t forcing talent to pretend otherwise. Think Cody could have a really memorable title run
@@valeriudragalin8800 no he's right. The others deserve much more. The WWE did what the WWE does best and that is push guys that are part time or in Cody's case from the competition. How does it look now that a former AEW talent mid carder is now in the main event scene for mania? Looks bad and to be honest Sammy Zayn needs to be the contender if it's NOT going to be the Rock.
Low-key want it to be Cody vs Sami ... Think about the pop he'll get winning in Montreal. I doubt it but let's see. Either way, WrestleMania is gonna be a banger 💯
@@TheTrueSpadeSupreme well i think only guys like mjf who keep kayfabe outside the ring can pull off those kayfabe interviews , for others it just feels weird
Excellent interview. Well spoken. Class act. Has really really matured. Just concerned If the peck injury will be an issue going forward being out. Could see it colouring during the match.
The colouring happened cause of the slaps from Gunther. If that peck injury would've been an issue in the future they wouldn't even cleared him for tonight. colouring and bruised chest are nothing special anymore in Wrestling. For an example just watch the Gunther vs Sheamus Match at the Clash of the Castle in Cardiff.
@@satyakibhattacharya4339 Nah, he could've answered them but chose not to. He then went on to act like Ariel was the bad guy for asking questions anyone would and which we all wanted answers to
Joe Gacy and Carmelo Hayes just got themselves a strong supporter among the prominent guys in the WWE. If they do their parts, I'm sure Cody would be there to back them up once they get the call to the Main Roster.
Cody should of one MITB multipole times in his career, and if what I heard years ago, he was slated to win on a few different occasions before plans changed. So I am genuinely happy for him finally getting a big accolade in WWE. Congrats Cody!
Cody is so humble for winning the rumble not letting this get his head so big . I know he's making his dad R.I.P happy Dusty is so proud of him looking down on him
After Cody is done being WWE & Universal Champion, I would love to see him capture the Intercontinental Championship again or capture the US Championship for the first time. (Especially as the American Nightmare) 🇺🇸
The returning Cody Rhodes returning at a time when the majority doesn’t want him to dethrone Roman. It’s about Sami. Fans will turn in him if he is pushed over Sami.
@@rawbarber9012 cody makes most sense. Sami and Kevin winning tag titles and have a fued will be great especially with jey. Roman hasn't faced this cody. This cody is the most credible threat to Roman's titles
Was a good plan. Cody can now do mostly mic work and some mixed up tag until he feels up for something more. Meanwhile we build to WM. Looks like we will have Roman vs Cody Lashley vs Lesnar Paul vs Seth Becky vs Bailey Sami vs KO. Here we go again, again. Not the best Royal Rumble. Gunther got some good rub but most of the match felt clunky and contrived. Women's match wasn't much to talk about either. I feel bad for LA Knight. That guy should have been one of the last few remaining in the Rumble, not doing whatever that was.
It was kinda obvious he was gonna win thr rumble match I don't think anyone didnt expect it. I was going for brock and lashley but I that a wrestlemania match itself. But Cody was my pick to win he just got that it factor and it been like that. What night at the rumble I must agree
The story isn't even about Roman and Sami, that's surface level. It's always been about Sami and Jey and their parallels. If last night didn't engrain that into people's heads, then there's no hope for those people and they're irrelevant noise makers.
Triple H did the right thing by having men's Rumble opening the show. The only surprise was Cody's entry number. This would've been a letdown had it been the main event.
I dont' think so. Everybody and i mean EVERYBODY! wants him to succeed. Not a single Rhodes had won a World Championship in WWE yet which means history needs to get completed because there is no way that a Royal Wrestling Family like the Rhodes doesn't have a WWE World Heavyweight Champion in their Legacy.
They should somehow push this Cody title shot back to SummerSlam or next year's Mania. His whole year of having to fight an uphill struggle and get his title shot was removed when he got injured. Sami Zayn is infinitely more over and he should headline vs Roman this year. Have Cody somehow lose his title shot at Elimination Chamber or wherever, and build him back up to fulfill his destiny later down the line when people care about him more.
Cody is carries himself like a textbook champion. I would love to see the feel good story of him winning, then he deteriorates into a Homelander-esque heel.
Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer didn't think Cody and other couldn't sell out a 10,000 plus arena so Cody replied "bet".... then him and others sold out 11,000, tickets in less than 30 minutes. Months later that led to AEW starting and they did about 4 ppvs of similar scale that sold out just as quick before they even started their weekly tv show 10 months later. Cody played a massive part in changing the whole wrestling landscape.
Dashing to Stardust, undesirable to undeniable...the grandson of a plumber who had to leave the big E and return the prodigal son. This story seems a bit like myth but that's only because Cody is a legend.
Depends on how they play their cards. Cody's story of winning the big one for daddy is just as compelling as Sami's. Once Cody and Roman start interacting, it's gonna be HUGE. We'll see how they pull it off
Class act. Looked extremely rusty not strong obviously for the lay off and recovery . Not knocking him by any means but he needs alot more activity to be at his absolute best.
