Big shoutout to Omar our butler who was very accommodating, professional, helpful, and kind! This resort was unique with their rooftop pool and bar being open to the public as well as hotel guests. The hotel also contains their own Pizzeria, Cafe and gelato shop, 4 swimming pools, 2 swim up bars, 7 bars, a gym, spa, 9 restaurants and SO MUCH MORE!!!

No they don't! There is premium liquor for an extra cost but that is optional.

In the diamond lounge do they have like bottled soft drinks especially coke zero? Furthermore do they leave you a bottle of liquor in the room?

Hi again! I wasn't sure of the answer to this question so I went ahead and called the resort for you and anyone else who may be curious! The Diamond Club lounge offers canned soda including Pepsi, Pepsi light and ginger ale. As for the liquor, if you have the complete Diamond Club Member package, your stay includes 1 bottle of wine PER DAY, and one bottle of liquor (rum, tequila, vodka) PER WEEK. Hope this helps, sorry about the Coke Zero, maybe Pepsi will suffice. ENJOY !!!

Hi there, great video! Thanks for taking the time. Could you possibly tell me what time the building starts to block shade on the non-diamond club beach? I saw one video that said 4:30 pm but they weren't clear if it was both pools and all of the beach or just certain sections.

Hi there! After reviewing my photos and videos from the trip, it appears that the diamond club section becomes shaded BEFORE the non-diamond club area at around 4:00pm so you can expect shortly after that for the remaining areas to become shaded as well. If my memory is serving me correctly, I do remember bringing a chair out further towards the ocean to soak in those last rays of sunshine. It also makes for a great time to do a beach walk and chase that sunshine or to enjoy other amenities at the resort. Wishing you a fabulous vacation full of all the sunshine you can get!

Super awesome and informative review.. we usually do Riu but we’re definitely looking forward to trying a new resort. I heard you mentioned the two different elevators and you said it services floors 4 -8 ? Does that me the D.C members cant get a higher floor room ?

Correct! Diamond Club members are only on floors 4 through 8. It is still an amazing view you honestly don't need any higher, if you go to 9:14 in the video you can see the view from floor 3 which has a great view of the beach and ocean. Additionally, not pictured from this angle, you have a clear view of all pool areas, cabana and lounge areas, swim up bars, observation deck, and neighbouring hotels and beach area. Hope this helps! Hi there, if my memory serves me correctly, reservations are required. This can be done through your butler, at the front desk, or from the iPad in your room :)

We're booked for a Nov trip and have a Luxury Diamond Club Lounge access Presidential suite reserved. Do these default to having a butler or would the room type specify it has a Butler associated to it?

As long as you are a Diamond Club member you will be assigned a butler! Our butler was Omar and he was absolutely amazing!! As a little tip, if you are interested in booking a specific dinner place or a cabana, do so a day or two in advance before they book up. Being associated with a butler does give you some extra pull but last minute bookings aren't always able to be accommodated. If you purchase a diamond club room on red tag or sun wing is that how you’d a diamond club member or do you have to purchase somewhere else to be a diamond club member?

Hi there, we upgraded to Diamond Club status when we checked in at the front desk! This may be a more risky move incase their Diamond Club packages are sold out upon arrival. Booking it in advance would be the best option, and I would assume if the package you are buying through red tag or sunwing states it is Diamond Club then the hotel must honour that. For the rooftop pool. There is a pink party or neon etc… how do we get the schedule before our stay so we can bring appropriate attire. Another question- what service did you use to get from the airport to the hotel and back?

@@Michelle3721 That is a great question! If you let me know your dates I can try to contact the hotel for you. I did not find much information on their site but my approach would be to contact the hotel directly. We used Cancun Limo Service for our transportation, however, when you land there is a plethora of taxi and shuttle services waiting. For the return trip back to the airport, this can be arranged through the hotel for your comfort at any time during your stay before check-out or you can ask them to call for a taxi whenever it is needed, whether that be to go back to the airport, to an excursion, or just to head into town! Please let me know how I can further assist and if you would like help contacting the hotel regarding the themed parties. It is my pleasure!

@@Michelle3721 Hi there, after speaking with the Royalton directly, I have learned that the daily entertainment schedule is only posted 1 day in advance and is subject to change depending on weather. The good news is, there is sure to be some form of entertainment daily so pack all your favourite outfits! If you are a diamond club member you will be sent the daily itinerary each day by your butler or all guests can find this information on the in-room iPads. Sorry I am not able to provide the exact information you are looking for. Wishing you safe travels and a fabulous vacation!
