I loved Royce's singing on Cocaine that phrase "I am glad my dad picked me over cocaine" that felt so resonating . I think his singing on this project worked well for me . The content is incredible.

His voice on that track was definitely the best singing performance IMO. I really appreciate it when an MC gets so honest like Royce did on this album!

Logic's verse my God, please... 1st rapper that has a mental breakdown in a middle of a self called hard verse I hope the industry don't get this dude on a feature no more... I'm done with all those biracial verses.

My favorite RU-vid reviewer views one of the most anticipated albums. it's been an amazing year for boom bap & underground hip hop this is another example. Royce storytelling I'm impressed like W.O.W

It's rare that a song actually makes me tear up, but as someone who's dealt with suicidal depression for a long time, "Strong Friends" really hit me hard. This is my ATOY so far and your review was on-point as usual, keep up the good work Luke.

This album was impeccable and immaculate to start to finish. I agree 100% that bars still does matter this year. RR2: The Bitter Dose, Everything Is Fine, In Celebration of Us, Portraits, Moosebumps: An Exploration Into Modern Day Horripilation, Czarface Meets Metalface, The Actual Proof, Weather or Not etc.

I loved boogie's verse. I wish I liked his solo stuff more but I was Rollin when I heard him say "Thunder Cat meets Metro Boomin".

They way he told the stories on cocaine and Power are just so fucking crazy. S1 honestly elevated this project with some of the production. We all know Em had a fire verse on caterpillar. Dumb was dope as well. Honestly the only track I don’t like is Caterpillar remix. It disappointed me because Royce logics verse is a “shut the internet down for a couple of days” which in reality it was poor. Flow was offbeats and rhyme scheme was atrocious. Just shows how much mods advanced Royce and Em are when you hear how effortlessly they rapped over caterpillar. Good review.

Easy Top 3 album of the year for me, I think its great but i end the album on stay woke because i really dont need to hear the t pain joint at all nor do i wanna hear Logic fucking up his own verse that was good by getting into his mixed bag again. The production is great the rapping is great and his flow still amazes me with how he just weaves through pockets in beats blows my mind sometimes. The content... i mean just in general the album is great i may not love his singing but it doesn't bother me at all and i can def say this is his best project it's not really even a discussion. 4.5/5.

I think this'll be in my year-end list for sure! The T-Pain track is aaaaaa'ight for what it is, but definitely nothing special so I get you on that. Logic had me cringing bad with his verse though!

Well, Em in his prime always got his energy from lashing out at society's hate for him. Now after revival's bad reviews and the backlash for his Trump disses he has some of that hatred to fuel him again. I still have hope for his next album after these recent verses.

I really think putting the Remix in the best/worst tracks doesn't make sense. After all, it is a remix appearing on the Bonus Track version of the album. I'm not saying it shouldn't be in the worst, even if I do enjoy it, but considering it part of the full album isn't fair to the base content.

Aaron Casas I'm not saying it shouldn't be there. You didn't even read the comment. I think talking about the remix and the Bonus Track version isn't fair to the quality of the album when the base one doesn't have the song. I don't give a shit if people think it's ass, but if you are reviewing an album, it shouldn't be a deluxe edition with bonus tracks. If you think it's ass, fine. But it isn't on the ACTUAL album.

Sorry man im not feeling the whole thing its definitely more personal than layers but the sing songy hooks from him and the rappity rap style sorta got in the way of his storytelling to me and it also felt like he was talking a little too much about his father. That said, I liked caterpillar, strong friend, boblo boat, stay woke and outside

Never apologize for what ya like and don't like! The singing was definitely one of the weaker parts, but I really appreciated his story-telling.
