Melon isn't just a music reviewing shitposter, he's a regular guy with thoughts and opinions and deep empathy for others. It's easy to forget how he has things that get to him and that effect him just talking about them since we rarely see any sort of emotional side of him most of the time. Its an appreciated quality to allow yourself to be genuinely vulnerable to an audience, even one you trust.

I know someone with autism as well. I think particularly in America it’s seen as a “disorder” when in actual fact, people with autism are merely different when it comes to processing information than average people. While a lot of people consider it a disability, this is often because of other learning difficulties that autistic people could have, rather than the autism itself. While I respect Anthony quite a bit, it is kind of irritating to see this narrative of Royce as a father being the victim due to his son’s autism, rather than supporting the son himself. It’s a strange thing, often times people will apologise to family members like they’re a burden - they’re not, and often times autistic people can be more adequate in communicating their emotions cohesively and intelligently than the average person. Sometimes they’re far more intelligent and creative as well - but this is also a stereotype, the truth is that autism is a mixed bag, and I know this will likely never be read - but the “someone” I know who is autistic is myself, saved this for later because I bet any potential readers wouldn’t have suspected so. This had me crying because I’m really tired of feeling like a burden when in actuality, I’m hardly any different from any of you people.

@mysteriousgamer89 Royce was one of the first hip hop artists I became a big fan of. Started really getting into his work around Bar Exam 1 and I've heard every album, mixtape, slaughterhouse, and prhyme project. Death is certain might not have as high of highs as some of this other projects (most notably Book of Ryan) but it is the most consistent. The entire album is great front to back and it is by far his most cohesive and least bloated project.

@mysteriousgamer89 I mean consistent in terms of the theme of the album. Book of Ryan and the Allegory both fall short of what they set out to do IMO. Book of Ryan is still a great album and the Allegory is solid, but Death is Certain is the best overall project.

Somebody needs to call them out for this shit. All they’re doing is setting their own communities back by further breeding mistrust in something that genuinely combats the transmission rates of infectious disease.
