Mikey FYI you always install a union or 2 just in case you need to replace the Backflow preventer.

Navien Units are shipped with water in them, air and water

We always put unions on both ends of the device.

Not trying to be negative or an ass. But, check the Midwest instruments 5 valve test kit. Way better in my opinion but that’s just me. I found it way easier to test the RPZ.

Back in the day ! When our local union got all our apprentice's certified for testing ! And repair ! In the great state of PA ???? ! Thought it would be a $ maker ? But it was never enforced! Glad I didnt buy a 500$ test kit ! Think I tested 5-6 ? Pa dont take backflows seriously!
