These are old video's but I just want to say thanks man. You been keeping this old Vet company and giving great tutorials while I do my warrior rebuild, wish there was away to upload before and after pics so you could see the progress I've made. Just wanted show some appreciation to fellow enthusiast and fan of your channel

Hey Alex, thanks for watching and gladni could help. The video I just put out over the H4 headlight was the second video I had in the works when we last talked. I will be starting the video you requested in the next day or so. Really quick question, were you wanting to see how to change the brakes, or just check the pads? Front, back, or both? Thanks again for watching and hope this next video helps as well.

Life of Bryan I wanted to know how to check and put them back. Do I need to bleed the brakes afterwords. The manual I have is not clear. Either front or back would work for me, I just wanted to know the process one takes. I really appreciate your work. Thanks, used your video to do my plates too. Only thing you kinda skipped is how to remove those last two tubes from behind the AIS bracket. I see you reconnecting it after putting on the new plates but you didn't show how you took them off. Looks like they are connected with some type of clip that I couldn't figure out how to take off. So I had to work with disconnecting it at another point and moving it a little out the way to get my allen key at the plates. I had to go buy a 5mm ratchet attachment and I STILL could not get to it those plate bolts. I finally got it loosened with a regular allen key just enough to be able to get it out with my fingers. It was the BIGGEST PIA ever! I also don't have an BAK so didn't know how to get to the throttle body vale to cap it off. I capped it off at the end of the tube where it connected to the AIS.
@RSWarriorBryan
@RSWarriorBryan 5 лет назад
I'm sorry about that!! I think I left out a part on that video about taking off the bracket for it all too. I didn't realize I had skipped that step though. Seems like I had to use a regular Allen for the back two bolts because I couldn't get back in there with the ratchet. Seems like you had a bad time with it all and I'm sorry about that. Hopefully some of my future videos are better and can hit the mark a little more. Try to make these so that people feel confident about going out and doing it themselves, and I missed that one I guess. Thanks for letting me know, I'm glad that you were finally able to get everything off and figured out. Hopefully it's made a difference in the popping. Thanks again, stay safe!

Thanks for watching and commenting. Yes, this will help to remove some of the popping that these bikes are known for. With this removed, a good fuel tuner, and/or Ivan's flash will alleviate pretty much all popping. Hope that helps! Thanks again, stay safe and healthy out there!

Noticed you have a stealth air kit was wondering a few things? Does the stealth air kit remove filters on both sides of the bike? Or just the right side? Also what does this removal do? I've read it helps with backfire I installed new exhaust and I'm having pops on deceleration. Not sure if this is a idle adjustment problem or if it's the exhaust. Will this mod help with that? Thanks so much! Not alot of info left out there for warrior guys. I'm having a hard time finding parts and information.
@RSWarriorBryan
@RSWarriorBryan 5 лет назад
Hey, sorry it took so long to get back to you. The air kit does remove the filter from the right side, as well as the filter and stock air box under the tank. The popping can be a couple different things. The exhaust could be leaking, causing the pops. Are your baffles in still? Most times popping can be cured by removing the AIS system, and a good tune. Ivan's ECU flash will also help to cure it as well. The baffles being out can also cause it, but I'd suggest the AIS block offs and a good tune to get it cleared up for you. Hope that helps, thanks again for watching! Stay safe!

Hey freeezzzz, I haven't done anything with them as of yet. I was just going to clean them and put them back on the bike, but someone asked how to do it, so I'm actually going to make a video in the next couple days. They don't look too dirty, but they were only used last year. Have you done anything with yours yet? Do you have any thoughts on the moxi filters yourself?
@frz0307
@frz0307 5 лет назад
@@RSWarriorBryan I have not set this mod yet. But already noticed the flaws of the filters that Woody sent. I took photographs of the flaws of the filters, they are clearly visible when they flash through their flashlight. Woody told me how to fix it and even sent replacement filters. But I still mistrust Moxi filters. I still think to replace them with filters K&N. But it was interesting to me to hear an practice about the quality of filtration by Moxi.

I haven't even thought about it, but will clean them and check them out as well. May need to upgrade to the K&N filters also. I definitely appreciate the tip on the filters, and the headlight as well. I plan on upgrading that in the next month or so before I get to really ride.

Hi Brian i subscribed and im following your vlog. I recently bought an 09 midnight warrior 4k miles. I also have a VTX 1800. I havent ridden the VTX since picking up the warrior though and it's now for sale. Thanks for the videos, I want to eliminate the air box what did you use for your set up and is it a noticable improvement
@RSWarriorBryan
@RSWarriorBryan 5 лет назад
Hey, thanks for watching and subscribing! I almost have an 1800 vtx myself, right before this current Warrior. Would have taken it, but it was a salvaged title. Super nice bikes, comfortable, and tons of power as well! Eliminating that air box is nice for multiple reasons. Cleans it up, easier to change plugs, etc... I went with the churchkey vbak myself. I recommend it, but the Patrick Racing BAK and even the Barons kit are great. The Barons even comes with a plate to relocate the coils, which is something you'd have to purchase separately with the other two kits. They even have a way to take your stock air box and do a diy BAK where you can save a lot of money. All are going to be very close in terms of performance gains, but Patrick Racing also sank a lot of money into research on their kit and churchkey has never tested his. All in all, I'd say whatever you went with would be a good decision, but if I had to do it over again, I'd probably opt for the Patrick racing myself. You can expect to see a gain in horsepower, but probably on average only about 3 to 5 horse. If I were you and wanted to sink my money into something that was a definite, noticeable improvement, I'd get Ivan's ECU flash. Gonna run about 375 total including shipping, but turn around time is a week and it does a ton of stuff that makes the bike better. Check out my video over it if you haven't yet. Thanks again for watching, I know that was about as clear as mud, but hope,it helps out!

I actually didn't get in on the group buy. I just upgraded to a speedstar this year and the wife would have killed me if I'd have tried to spend more money on another exhaust. 😂 the group buy exhaust is also not my style. He makes some good exhausts, but I'd try and do a full price one and have an actual custom exhaust. After about five people have the same one, it's not as custom anymore in my opinion. He has some awesome exhausts on his Facebook page though, for sure.

I have a question. y cant u just connect the 2 pipes together with hose instead of plates? New to the warrior but on a few off my Kawasakis from my 600 to my zx14 we called it the clean air mod we just connect them with hose worked the same as the blocks that they sold for block off
@RSWarriorBryan
@RSWarriorBryan 5 лет назад
Hey, thanks for watching! I suppose you probably could do that. My father actually still has the elbows, but removed the system and capped the elbows with rubber caps. My whole thing with removing the AIS system and doing the left side clean up is to open that side of the motor up and shows it off. The block off plates help eliminate more parts, which then shows more. Plus the plates are under twenty five bucks, or you could even fabricate your own. Thanks again for watching, I'm a former sport bike guy myself. Stay safe out there brother!

Hey brother, thank you for watching and commenting. All you need is the nipple and two plates, no need for the 45 shells. If you do end up keeping the stock air box for a bit, you will also need a 1/2 inch plug to plug the hole in the stock air box that's created when removing the ais system. Hope that helps out a little. Thanks again and stay safe out there.

Bought my Warrior last year, and finished out my riding season on it. Its getting close to riding season where I live now, and I've just come across some of these upgrades people have done. So maybe a silly question, but what all does this do? Obviously you stated it helps with the popping, but does it do anything else? Just aesthetic?
@RSWarriorBryan
@RSWarriorBryan 5 лет назад
Hey Tony, thanks for watching and subscribing! As far as the AIS system, you pretty much remove it for looks. It will help reduce the popping, but more than anything it cleans up that left side, and with that, and relocating the fuel pressure regulator, you can get rid of the left scoop and open that side up. Hope that helps answer your question. Stay safe brother!

The throttle is pretty long so you really have to turn it to get full buck but as it' would be your first road bike, As long as the weight is manageable for you it's a great bike go sit on one toss it around before you go for a ride see how the weight feels.
@RSWarriorBryan
@RSWarriorBryan 4 года назад
Sorry it took so long to reply to this. I'm in agreement with Kyle. The bike is definitely a big bike, but not too much for someone to handle. Plus, it may keep a little fear in you which is good for a new rider in my opinion. Feel like when new riders get too comfortable early, that's when they wreck. It will also give you room to grow. I rode sport bikes all my life, and most guys will tell you to start on something small. Problem is, two months in, that 300cc bike just doesn't cut it anymore and you're trying to sell it and upgrade. This bike will keep you happy for years to come.

Hi Brian my 09 have wrong idle can you have me to fix it? My name tony! Thanks Brian
@RSWarriorBryan
@RSWarriorBryan 5 лет назад
Hey Tony, thanks for watching the video. If the idle isn't right, there could be other problems causing the bike to not idle correctly. Has it just recently started acting up? Any recent modifications to the bike? Does it act better after the bike has warmed up? If it is just the idle, there is an adjustment screw that you can use to raise or lower the idle. If you remove your seat, there is a brass screw just behind the fuel tank, below the front of the seat and between the two screws holding the tank down. I believe you turn it clockwise to raise the idle. Be sure the bike is warm when adjusting the idle, and it should be between 900 to 1000 rpm. Hope this info helps, and thanks again!

@RSWarriorBryan 5 лет назад
Hey Tony, sorry the idle adjustment didn't help. Unfortunately, there are a lot of other things it could be and without really being there to see and hear the bike, it's hard to diagnose. It could be a sensor like either the crank or throttle position sensors, fouled plugs, vacuum leak, clogged injectors or lines, or any number of other things. I'm sorry that I can't really give you a good answer, but those are all options I'd start with checking into.

Look at my cover photo on my channel Bryan. My 08 warrior is AIS neutered! Let me ask you this Bryan..I'm in Albuquerque,NM and am moving back home to NY, I'm leaving my bike in storage in Albuquerque for maybe 6 months, do I need to do any preparations for it to sit there for 6 months. I can have someone come and start it every 4 days and let it run for 5-10 minutes. Is that necessary?. What should I do? Thanks in advance.
@RSWarriorBryan
@RSWarriorBryan 6 лет назад
Hey Johnny, neutering the ais is a hard decision, but can't have a million little Warriors running around!! Storing the bike for six months isn't that big of a deal on most of these fuel injected bikes. I'd take it out and give it a good washing first thing. Biggest thing you'll want to do is use some fuel stabilizer and be sure to run it a bit to get that mixed into the lines and reserve tank. You'll also want to top off the fuel in the tank as well. May be a little overkill, but I would also use some cheap oil and filter and do an oil change as well. I wouldn't use amsoil or anything, because I'd just replace it when you got the bike back to you. You'll also want to take the battery out and put it on a maintainer if possible. Most batteries won't last six months. Starting it and letting it idle without really running can cause more harm than good sometimes. A lot of guys will actually spray the chrome down with wd 40 as well, and put a rag with some of it inside the exhaust to keep out any kind of bugs and animals that may try to find their way in there. If you have a set of stands for the bike it's good to get the tires off the ground as well. If not, I'd over inflate them. After that, I'd cover it up and walk away. Hope this helps out, and I hope you have a good move to new York.
